U A Baseball

Any word on the candidates for the Akron baseball coaching job? Hopefully several quality candidates emerge.

Heard that a few current local college coaches were in the running.
Heard that the Associate Scout for the N.Y Mets was a consideration. (DHC guy) ?
Happy a Div 1 program is back in the area.

Not at all biased actually. But speaking of bias, what age does your son play at DHC? I see you have bumped their endless tryout postings.
But when you run what is considered MAYBE the 10th best program in NE Ohio how could you seriously be considered for any college coaching job?

Wildcat is the all knowing of the top programs in the area.
When can we expect your 2019 travel preview addition?
Can you help me with my travel baseball fantasy team?
The DHC coach is a scout and a darn good one!

Please enlighten me....who has he scouted for the Mets? which top level player in NE Ohio has he gotten to play for DHC? How many big time prospects do they churn out each year? The guy is on here daily begging for people to come tryout.

I am curious, do you actually consider DHC a top program in NE Ohio? I can think of at least 10 others right now that I would prefer my son to play for.

I find it beyond comical that you consider him a "darn good scout" and a good choice for a D1 college program. If he cant make his summer program one of the best how on earth will he make a college program one of the best?

Wildcat you claim to not have any kids playing just a guy who knows all.
The truth comes out.
Perhaps you son did not make the club and sour grapes is all you have left.
There are many Div 1 players including Fueller who plays at a Div 1 college in New York so there you have it.
Thank you for sure!!
I do believe he would do a fine job as Skipper of Akron U.

1st off, there are very few club team organizations in Ohio that actually “cut” players from their so called “tryouts”. I can think of about 3, off the top of my head, and DHC is not one of them, so why make ridiculous comments?

And 2nd, it really doesn’t matter what you “believe”. Fingers crossed that the decision makers at UA choose someone worthy of the privilege of being a D1 coach.

Well, clearly thatís what he thinks! His stud kid is playing there. That alone makes the team worthy of being followed around by pro scouts

It is funny how Wildcat and his wife BaseballMom have it all figured out.
These top travel programs and then the not so good ones.
All these guys getting all the Div 1 players. Its funny. No its sad.
DHC may not get the top Div 1 guys and that is ok. There guys play and stay in College.
Let these so called big time programs hide behind names and rip programs like DHC.
They will be here long after the others and have kids going to play college ball every year.
How long do your programs players play in college? DHC has a better record than yours?
They just don't brag about it over and over again.
Wildcat and Baseball mom are you still tucking in your boy at 16 years old?

See above links. I’m pretty sure all 3 have been around the block a few times. How many times can you get around the block in say...50 years

I don’t really need to brag, or tuck anyone in. I’m only trying to set the record straight for those unknowing, parents of younger children. I wish I had someone to help me years ago

I think she just thought of 3 programs that actually "cut" players.

What do I know though?

So yeah, ah, this thread isnít really about MY credibility. You, sir, were going on and on about how great DHC and their owner is. In fact, you would like to see their owner at the helm of Akronís baseball program, from what I gather. I was mearly trying to bring you back down to earth. And the ballclubs listed, in the links provided are among the most credible in Ohio with a combined expertise of around 100 years...

All while costing the parents little to no $. Their kind of credibility canít be bought.
