Bowling ball with big collisions is not what we need from Payne. We need both backs healthy and unnecessary big collisions although good for a testosterone boost are not good for his longevity. The passing game has been less than impressive thus far so we definitely need everyone especially both backs to stay healthy. The passing game will come with time, we just have to be patient and take what the defense gives us rather than looking for the big play at all cost. Just move the chains.

Come on Mike keep up!

Per Mike Dyer 8/15 9:36am
St. Xavier won't name a starting quarterback for its season opener Aug. 24 against Lakota West Firebirds at Paul Brown Stadium.
That's because the Bombers intend to play two quarterbacks including senior Jared Kreimer and junior Wyatt Hudepohl, according to St. X coach Steve Specht.
St. X, a Division I regional finalist in 2017, has nine consecutive postseason appearances - the most actively of any large school program in Cincinnati.

Yeah, that rotating QB system has been shown to work well. Personally I would go with the sinker ball specialist and let the kickoff and punt returner focus on what he does best. GBM

Hey birdsh*t, glad to see you got that no-playoff streak off your record. Although I am not sure you can consider 45-0 a "return" to the playoffs, LOL!!!

Good one. Now take your R Hand out of your pants pocket. Good luck to the Crusaders, Bombers, Panthers and Lancers in 2018. Maybe all four advance to week 11. GBM

Bombers 35
Gahanna Lincoln 0

The team speed on both sides of the ball on this year’s team is quite impressive.
In addition it’s a very physical team
Detailed summary and analysis to come

Just like moejoe83 I haven't heard from them in awhile.
Both of their boys are playing college right now.
What the heck is going on in Crusaderville?
The curb stomping by Colerain to end last season, Rodey getting the boot and this year the new guy puts 18 sophomores on your varsity just to get the roster count up to 80.
Your program keeps hitting new lows.
moejoe83 abandoned the team at the right time 4 years ago.

The Rody era has consequences. Hopefully a Moeller guy with good credentials cam Make Moeller Great Again. Not sure what happened to moejoe. Maybe moedude knows. Looks like your bombers are in line for a good year. I will have to carefully pick my shots. That is unless the sinkerball specialist or punt returner/kick off returner mess up that QB rotation. GBM

Defensive Plays

Gahanna Lincoln's 1st offensive series: senior cornerback B.J. Ferguson interception and 40 yard return set up the first Bomber score.

GL 2nd series: On 3rd down junior strong safety Hundley dropped the GL ball carrier for a 7 yard loss forcing another GL punt.

GL 4th series: Back to back tackles for loss by senior DE Will MacDonald and senior NT Parker Rabe led to another scoreless GL possession

GL 5th series (final of the half): the tone was set by senior LB Nate Arthur's jarring hit on a GL WR after a 1st down 8 yard catch, 5 plays later and another GL punt

6th series (final for the starters): back to back bone crashing tackles for loss by Rabe and Hundley brought up another GL punt.

What are you guys doing this year? Looks like the Ky HS football tour? Give me the full report on the Crusaders under Mr. Rosfeld. Tell Big Joe I was asking about him.

As far as the Ky. tour goes, as Marge Schott said "If ya got em, smoke em". As far as a recap of Big Moe, see my comments in the Moeller forum after the week 1 game. GBM

PS, what's on the wine list for this weeks tailgate and halftime peep show?
