Kinda Ironic

Isn't it funny that on the LL vs. Select thread we keep hearing about how LL is all about teaching the kids the basic fundamentals and love for the game. Then you read this manifesto with over 200 comments (so far) from LL coaches, parents and administrators going on and on about how poor the leadership is. Isn't this Little League baseball? It sure seems like you all are making it more complicated than it needs to be. Maybe it is more like select ball than anyone wants to admit. When you start making money on tournaments for teams that shouldn't even be keeping score (coach pitch 2 and out) it make the alternatives look pretty good. At least they are being honest about their purpose and not hiding behind an organizational hierarchy. It is the first week of November and the season for LL starts when... April?? I know that not all people involved with LL are trouble makers but you guys had better pace yourselves or you will burn out by mid winter.

My last comment on this topic is I would like to see rat and the new Little League director Gary, explain to everyone whether or not if it is true or not if the ladies group gained or received first hand knowledge from them before the rest of the League knew what was going on. Their seems to be a lot of post over the fact that a small minority of people knew exactly what was going to go down at the fall meeting and took advantage of it before the rest of the board and it's members, now would be a great time to set the record straight. Getting the whole truth out there would be a good/positive thing for WSLL. It states in the operating manual" Programs which are in disrepute for reasons of apathy and poor reflection to the community stand only to fall!

The ladies auxiliary was formed and notified all at the same time a week before the meeting to over throw the God's of WSLL. You people have finally went over the edge. Good Luck with your silliness. Tootles

i am really surprised that it has come to all of this! intentional walk, i'm guessing that no one has answered your question because no one knows what you are talking about. You are the only one saying that the womans group knew of the changes before the board so maybe we should ask you why you think that, or why it matters seeming how they didnt get a vote, i truly think you have been given wrong info. there have been rumors swarming since the new board has been voted in and a womens group started. i can understand all the concerns of the changes and how it is all confusing, but as i said before there were no volunteers that voted at the meeting so i guess i am just totally confused why you are still pissed off. you are acting like there were "select" volunteers voting at the meeting that were informed and others were intentionally left out. that was not the case at all. no one voted that shouldnt have. you talk about the agenda to get people kicked off the board and i would love to know who has the power to do that because that is not the case either. the board was voted on and yes there were proxy votes but there always are and these proxy votes were all coaches and managers so once again what is the problem? you talk about the president saying one thing and another board member saying something else and myself saying another and because of that you say its shady or we are unorganized or whatever, but how many times does this kind of thing happen? i can remember many problems over at west side this season during games due to the fact that the board members didnt know the rules when there were conflicts between the coaches about sliding into home and dead balls and stealing bases, etc. if a board member was even able to be found they all had different answers, does this make them incompetent of the job, no, just means maybe they should get together and hash the rules out. the new board has only been here for a few weeks and already you have nothing but negative things about it. as far as you talking about coomer, nichtine, and sams maybe you should get with them. sams wasnt at the meeting to cast a vote on any of the issues and coomer and nichtine didnt show up for the meeting before the voting. they recieved the same emails so am unsure what you are getting at. you want to say you fight for what is right but the truth to that is only when you dont like the results.

The message may have gone to all, you emphasize all, board members; but not all coaches, who have a vote, are board members. So where did it fall apart? Did the director of little league not nofify the managers of the proposed changes in the consitution?

he has been a well known member of youth baseball for 20years and has never done anything but help that park in anyway possible, so for all of you that think he did something wrong YOU ARE BY FAR WRONG!!! What my husband did was look into a question that I asked him about if this is a crime then soo be it... The last time I checked if you have a question about the league you go to a board member... is that wrong? please tell me if so...
Why wouldn't your husband bring it to the board before going to the higher powers above? Maybe because he didn't want other board members to be aware of what was going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is how it was supposed to go: the president notify the board members, the league directors notify their managers and the managers notify their coaches. i am not sure exactly who did or didnt do this. i do know that the coach pitch director notified his managers and told them to notify their coaches that they needed to attend the fall meeting. i am being told that no other directors notified their managers but i do not know that for sure. i am still wondering why there were no tball managers and only a few minor league and little league managers at the meeting when they knew that they could vote or run for the board when they knew we were losing some great guys off the board. i guess that is something i will never know the answer to, i just hope they arent amongst the ones complaining when their votes could have counted.

So last year's director, who no longer has a dog in the fight, is responsible for getting information out for this year's meetings? Does that make sense to anyone?

in the previous message baseballmom22 said all board members were notified that there were issues with the constitution, so why are you now asking why he didnt notify the board and didnt want them to know?

Again, nothing but finger pointing. The bottom line is that some major changes were made without the knowledge of many people involved in the league. The league is made up of tee-ball players through 12-year-old little leaguers, yet the only people who seem to have been notified are coach pitch coaches and volunteers. That seems a little bit more than a coincidence. The board is supposedly the overriding decision-making authority, so why don't they take responsibility for making the transition from year to year?

I say let's have a cage match on field one. The last one standing is the new president.

Sounds like the Hamilton way to solve a problem.

I know its late but can anybody make sense of this mess above? At what part of any of my discussions did I mention about an agenda of getting people kicked off of the board? I think you have me confused with someone others post. If you want to quote someone get your facts straight (so called truefacts). Nor did I mention anything about a Coomer, Nichtine, or sams. Facts wrong again (so called truefacts). You might want to change your yappi name. You're just setting yourself up everytime you give a false post. I'm finishing up my final touches on my recap. Please stay tuned.

1111's do you think we could make any money on it? Might be a good fund raiser for the park! You know Allstars is coming up soon and we need to get new uniforms.

the only thing i directed to intentional walk was the question you had about the women knowing about the change before the board members. everything else was directed to all other posts, and yes coomer, sams and nichtine were mentioned in another post as well as the agenda to get others kicked off. regardless of who it is directed to, they are still the facts.

I've just been following on here and been entertained. As long as everything stays civil, I'm just sitting back and watching.

Is this what you guys at WSLL call the hot stove league?

I have been trading posts trying to defend LL vs travel ball on another thread and then I read this - Man oh Man - half-truths, inuendo, accusations, and now cage matches and proxy fighters -- if I didn't know better I would think A-1 and his Heat cronies were involved with this and WSLL had merged with travel ball.

Say it ain't so GCPRO - say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!

Hey please keep this god out of it. I admit I didn’t agree on how everything went down, but instead of calling people out on yappi. I called the new president, the new little league director, and few other board members to discuss some of my issues. That was over three weeks ago.
I’ve been involved with WSLL for over 16yrs now. I’ve been LL Director, Field Maintenance Dir, Scheduler, Minor League Dir, Draw Down Dir, you name it I’ve been it. I’ve seen more changes in the league than probably any of you combined. I’m a big boy. I’m sure I’ll survive this one. I have the up most respect for the league. Please, do the same for me and keep me out of it.

Thank you,

Coomer
Red Sox Rule!

IMH-this is what happens when the GCPRO leaves, all heck breaks out.
I really know nothing about this except what I read on here and as a parochial school in Hamilton don't see too many of these people out-n-about. Please don't compare us to the Heat, we have our warts but are better than that. I am planning on attending the next WSLL mothers auxiliary for sure

I refer you all back to my original post regarding the contacts I made. You can choose to not believe me if you like.

Truefacts; I'm not sure you know me to well. I made phone calls and did my part right up to the end, including to show up for the Fall Meeting. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear, nothing to be ashamed of. I had no intention of running for re-election and my son is now 13 and moving on to a different organization. My family and I have made many wonderful friends at WSLL over the past 9 years and for that I'am forever grateful. What a great experience. Good Luck to All.

im bringin my camera to both meeting I got to see this!!.... oh and by the way to all of you I am no longer a moderator for the baseball thread so I have no control over threads and have never been able to identify certain posters... that will always stay anonymous... have fun next season and Like My good friend Kenny Coomer said there have been plenty of changes in the league over the past 16 years both god and bad and guess what this league still prospers... and as far as volunteers go most volunteers are Coaches, Managers why would some one fill out a volunteer request just to vote and not volunteer their time to actually help the kids but to only vote!! makes no since to me!!
