Senior-heavy Stow baseball squad looks to make a run

Stow-Munroe Falls third-year head baseball coach John Daymon is decidedly lukewarm on the subject of the 2010 season.

The Bulldogs went 12-10 overall and 4-4 in the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division.

"Not too good," Daymon said. "We were young and I think that had a lot to do with it. I think we'll have a bit more experience this year. We've got a couple of Division I recruits with us. That should be helpful."

Daymon said this year's squad is "senior dominated." While Stow graduated seven seniors from last season, the Bulldogs have 10 seniors on this year's roster and many of them are impact players.

According to Daymon, offense shouldn't be an issue for Stow.

"I think we're a little bit better hitting team this year," Daymon said. "Pitching is going to be a big key. This group is a good hitting group."
