So 2-0 What's Up

Great start. What is going right and what is going wrong? With no GCL and no Colerain on the schedule, what are the Highlander's prospects for league and post season?

Myers and Berkemeier have a great connection. A lot like Woyke and Naber. Defensive line is getting great pressure on the QB. Hard to gage against Dunbar because they we so bad up front but they were able to get pressure on EC QB. The run game needs improvement but that’s also hard to gage because of the long completions Myers is connecting on. They will end up going 5-5 or 6-4 IMO.

With Myers going down with an arm injury, and the backup qb banged up, can we still get to 5-5 or 6-4? Boys playing great but still puzzled by the lack of depth at a school with over 1200 boys. Coaches are doing great; why don't guys play football here...has to be 30-35 boys in school that can hit the gridiron hard, one would think.

the 1200 boys argument is old. Walk the halls of that school. You'll find a handful of kids that may be "basketball" only kids that may help, same with baseball, but for the most part, the kids that you see that you think should be playing football, already are.

Do parents feed their kids better in Colerain Township?

Not at all, I think the kinds in Colerain Township have a little tougher resolution to them. They also grow up in a system that is all geared to having them prepared to play at Colerain. The OH community has consistently had issues with their youth programs. I know for a fact when Commins was the HC, he tried to get all of the youth coaches on the same page with teaching the basics of the high school system. That was met with great resistance.

Colerain township also doesn't have a catholic school on every street corner, so there are fewer options.
