Saints roll past Rosecrans

NEW PHILADELPHIA — It took most of the first quarter, but once Tuscarawas Central Catholic found the end zone the touchdowns just kept coming.

Central Catholic defeated Zanesville Rosecrans 40-7 on a bright and breezy Saturday afternoon at Art Teynor Field for its first season-opening win since 2005.

“In the first quarter we were trying to see what we could do against them and then we started getting some momentum,” said second year head coach Bob Zontini of the Saints. “In the second and third quarters we were pretty efficient with the ball and Joe took what the defense was giving us.”
