As far as I know, you have not play Butler in a football game since the early 80's. So, I don't know where you get the "past".
This game is being played because the GWOC is a terrible conference, it benefits the Central, and because Wayne wants a sure win. It is that simple.
OR maybe its the fact that the Central is just the best division BY FAR!! and thats just something the North and South will have to just deal with.
I mean really, Butler had a great season last year, and Wayne has been on a down stroke. Although I see Wayne doing great this year and beating Butler, I dont think Butler or any other GWOC team (including Wayne/C-ville/N-mont/Springfield)should get a pass on playing any other GWOC team because they are too strong or too weak. No matter the division, they should all have to play eachother at one point or the other. If you want to be the best, You gotta BEAT the Best.

Harrison is QB ... No
Reed is WR ... Could be used as a DB, not sure where Reed would stand as a QB as Bray is the backup to Harrison, and then there still is Latimer and Trice.

When has Harrison played safety and Bray played qb 2 be the backup? Minton will find a way 2 screw everything up like he's done in the past. Wayne should've 2 state titles under his watch but he doesn't get it on how put your best players on the field (crunch time) when needed. There has been a lot of talent come through Huber either home grown or transfers and he still can't get it done.

Harrison has never played safety. He is the starting QB.
Bray played backup QB last year before he got hurt playing WR. Not sure if Bray will be the backup this year or not....

I have to agree with this statement 110%, I've seen it time and time again. Minton is terrible about putting the best and most deserving players out on the field. I mean He kept the star-to-be Alex Earley on the bench in favor of the worthless dump passer, and son of the head of the Local teachers union, Matt Whited. Then he made Bitsko (son of a teacher and coach at wayne) the quarterback over others that deserved it......just to name a few. In the end, He screws the team every year and personally, I cant wait until he finally LEAVES!

I guess for those of you calling for Minton to leave must not be very old, or know your Wayne history. Minton not only lead the Warriors to their 1st playoff win but twice he has taken them to the State Finals. Sure he makes some mistakes but what coach doesn't. I thinkn one thing Minton does need to do is big one of the two jobs he has right now and let the other one go. No need to wear to hats.

Minton turned Wayne's program around. Schneider left it in a mess. Wayne has the 4th best playoff record in region 4 since Minton's arrival. A winning record against the GCL-South in the playoffs. More playoff wins then Moeller and Centerville COMBINED. Won R4 twice and got to state twice. Winning record against Centerville. Sure, it is a bit disappointing getting so close twice and not getting it but there are many many teams that never have gotten that far and some who have never experienced the playoffs....

I understand what your saying but talent only takes u so far and Wayne has had plenty of that over the years. Schneider and Minton had both been blessed with a lot outstanding athletes over the years but knowing what 2 do with them is a total different story. It seems that there has always situations that adjustments needed 2 b make at critical times during "BIG GAMES" that he would hesitate 2 make by not a putting the best players on the field. I'm not saying he's a total wash but he needs 2 b prepared 4 certain situations when they a rise. Just my opinion.
I think Jay Minton has did pretty good job overall with the Huber Heights Wayne Warriors. I do think they're things he and the staff could do better with the talent they have been blessed to have though. Schneider got Wayne back on winning track when he took over and Minton has taken it a few steps farther but one thing that has frustrated me under Minton is the slow pace they take in games they're behind in looking for plays from the sideline when the qb should be able to run offense quickly by himself. At least under Schneider offense never slowed down in those situations that's one thing that needs improvement under Minton. Overall though he has did good job at Wayne!

Didn't know you couldn't given honest evaluations anymore on here? Wish I was OC by week 8 because by then offense should be running itself for the most part except in a few key situations throughout the game! Never coached at High School level as OC but played at Wayne and I was smart enough with most of rest of us to know what to do by then in game situation especially 2 minute drill. Been coaching peewee for awhile now and even some of those kids can do it while most can't at that age. So if a few kids in peewee can do this why can't high school kids do it. Forget the peewee pace in high school at that age that is ridiculous!
Lol only difference is in high school defenses will shift,audible,move around etc. I've never coached high school but I'm willing to bet its a little harder then that. There wasn't anything wrong eith the offense last year they scored on everybody they played on 30 on Centerville. Just couldn't stop anybody
