Ohio's basketball cold war has thawed.

Announced last season, Ohio State and Cincinnati will play a home-and-home series in men's basketball with the first game set for Wednesday, Nov. 7, in UC's newly renovated Fifth Third Arena.

It's welcome news for old-time Buckeyes.

"Itís time. Itís time. There are a lot of hard feelings, but itís over. Itís time," former Ohio State guard Denny Meadors said, a member of the team in the late 1960s.

From 1905 to 1921, the two universities met six times with five being played in Columbus and Ohio State winning four of the matchups.

Yes, this old-timer remembers the '61 and '62 NCAA championships by UC pretty well.

BTW, Oscar Robertson DID NOT PLAY in either of those games. He had already graduated and was playing for the Cincinnati Royals in the NBA by then.

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Graduated in '60, UC wins back to back immediately after.

Yeah, I though that may be the case glancing at some of the stats, but was too lazy to do proper due diligence! Speaks volumes about the players on that team.
