Pirates assault Bearcats 21-6

Friday night in Bluffton was a bad night for the visiting Spencerville Bearcats. The Cats outgained the Pirates in total yardage 254 to 248, but just couldnt muster any scoring drives to putaway the Pirates, who improve to 4-2 overall, and 4-1 in the nwc while Spencerville falls to 3-3, 2-2.

The Pirates were led on scoring drives by Tailback Ryan Meyer who scored two touchdowns, one from 9 yards out, and carried for 63 yards in the game. Quarterback Justin Viet also added a touchdown run from six yards out in the second quarter to make the halftime score 14-0 in favor of the home team.

Spencerville Senior Tailback Joel Lee, the northwest conferences leading rusher was held to 87 yards and a touchdown for the visitors.
