Thomas Worthington visited Marion Harding Stadium tonight with the intent of spoiling the President's home opener. But two offensive miscues by the Cardinals led to touchdowns from the Harding defense. The first defensive score occured late in the first half and deep in Cardinal territory. An option/delayed handoff was broken up with the fumble being scooped up and taken into the end zone. Late in the fourth quarter, a sack also led to a fumble that was run in for a TD.
Thomas Worthington scored in the first half using a solid ground attack from the shotgun. With 2:09 on the clock, Thomas Worthington began a long drive featuring their spread offense passing attack. The comeback was stuffed with less than :30 on the clock with an interception inside the 10 yard line.
Hardings offense controlled field position and gained first downs, but could not put a series together that resulted in a TD.
