Article: Norwood Indians win their 4th straight road game at Blanchester 41-0
The Norwood Indians won their 4th straight road victory this past friday night over the Blanchester Wildcats with a final score of 41- 0 in a SBAAC American vs National match-up. It didn't take the Indians long to take control of the game. On the 1st drive of the game the Indians drove the ball into the redzone very easly but inside the 10 yard line what looked like a for sure TD drive was not to be when the Wildcats recovered an Indians fumble. With Blanchester turning the ball over on downs on their 1st drive the Indians Defense was in perfect form Once the the Offense took over it didnt take the Norwood Indians long to score. Senior running back Gabe Rice scored from a key block down field 1stThe Norwood's defense came out hitting hard and knocked startering QB Seth Runyon #10 out of the game. By Halftime the score was 35-0 and the Norwood Indians kicking game was 5 for 5 for extra points in the 1st half and also kicked a ball out of the endzone during the 2nd quarter. The Norwood Indians finished their 4th straight road win to improve their record to 7-1 (3-0) and play their last 2 games home and a chance to win a champoinship. Next week they play another SBAAC National team the Williamsburg Wildcats 3-5 for homecoming and the following week Norwood will play for the SBAAC American Championship against the undefeated Western Brown Bronco's 8-0 (3-0). It seems like the Norwood Indians have a chip on their shoulder for being picked last in the league with a defense giving up only 61 points in 8 games which ranks 4th in the city with points allowed. The Indians are very tough team to beat with the use of a balance run and passing attack and a defense ready to play every week. In week 8 the Norwood Indians were sitting at the 7th spot in the DIV region 16 play-offs with 2 teams in fron of them losing they should move up a spot or 2.
