Don't think it'll be ugly. Rees has screwed up on and off the field too much to redeem himself by marching down to the 33 for 55 yards in 2 minutes. What he did wasn't the f*cking impressive. I mean he had 5 incomplete passes on that last drive. It's not like he was all that good. It was Purdue. People overrate anything and everything Notre Dame does. It's beyond annoying.

I don't think ANYBODY, including this Irish fan is overrating Notre Dame
right now. That's why I picked MSU to win. I wanted to destroy my TV
when I saw Rees warming up to come in. ND got lucky on that last drive.
Purdue handed it to them. That being said, I'll take the win and hope for
the best against MSU. As a fan, that's all I can do.
Wood back helps and Eifert needs to play or else they are in trouble. From what I've seen the defense should be ok here though. Expecting a close game in the high teens/low 20s

Golson was out with a hand issue, Brian Kelly said Golson was the starter after the game. My only complain with him is he needs to avoid locking in on Eifert, which he did most of the game. Troy Niklas is a freak, he can block like a Tackle and catch passes. He will be a star at TE next year at 6'7'' 240. ND's front 7 is really good. Tuitt is going to be a top pick next year, and we all know Teo is a freak. Nix, Lewis-Moore, Ishaq Williams, and Shembo are all very good too. Calabrese and Fox are question marks though. Jaylon Smith and Alex Anzalone will be starting next year without a doubt. They also got a Stanford de-commit in Doug Randloph at LB. That's 5 highly ranked LBs to commit to ND this class.
Golsom starts, there is no doubt about that. Irish establish run and win 24-21.
Is MSU's dline better than Purdue's? Oline was supposed to be a strength, but they just got manhandled. There was at least 3 x Purdue blitzed right up the middle and drilled Golson before he could do anything.

Damn, I'm good. Gholston is a beast, they aren't benching him for crappy Rees.
Watched ND for the first time this season. I have to hand it to pboy. ND front seven on defense is very good. Dominated this game. Sparty offense was non-existent especially the QB play. I don't think that guy can complete a pass over 10 yards. Credit to ND front seven.
For Big 10 fans - man your conference really looks down this year. That was supposed to be your top team that got man-handled at home.
Stanford is way better than I thought they would be. I thought they would almost certainly fall after Luck graduated. The fact Stanford has established such a strong program with as strict, if not stricter, academic standards than ND should be encouraging to all ND fans.
It'll be interesting to see how the top 25 shake out tomorrow with ND, Florida and Stanford scoring quality wins while most teams are still in the cupcake portion of their schedules.

Stanford is good, it's hip and it's in California. Notre Dame is in Northern
Indiana. Where would you want to go, all things being equal?
