SWOFCA All Star Game

Who else attended this game last night?

I was impressed by the crowd. By game time both sides of Kings High School Stadium had pretty crowded stands.

I've seen this game a few times through the years and it's always fun to see all the young men from the different schools. This wasn't the best played game but both teams were giving it a good effort. There appeared to be only one significant injury when a NCH lineman went down with what appeared to be a knee injury. I hope he's alright.

One thing that was obvious is that neither team seemed to work their special teams very much in preparation for this game. That was unfortunate for Summit's kicker. He didn't really get to showcase how good he is. But you could tell his timing on kickoffs was off and I guess they never could get a good snapper and holder combination as on the first extra point attempt the holder fumbled the ball and on their second chance a huge rush came through the middle of the line and the kick was partially blocked. East had a little better luck with their kicker being able to hit his extra points and a field goal attempt. I was kind of disappointed when West had 4rth and 9 on the nine yard line they tried to score a TD instead of trying to kick a field goal.

It was a great night weather wise for the game and Kings Stadium is a nice high school stadium. I could see smaller division state title games at that venue.

I agree, Kings HS has really nice facilities, Whenever we travel there (Harrison) to play Kings, It is a nice stadium to see a game. They seem to really pack them in on the Kings Side, and they have a very high bleachers on there side, and on the vistor side there are plenty of room for schools that travel well like Harrison. Our QB #6 seemed to have a good game for the West Side and we had a few other players from Harrison representing the West Team
