Jerry Springer not taping an episode today?

All kidding aside, what kind of numbers do your pups have this year? Are they getting more kids out? Your coach needs to recruit his own halls! Christ, give him a janitor position in the high school so he can be around the kids like Cusick and Spaite!!!

Obviously he has been overlooked in some sort of way and is extremely bitter about it!
Advice graciously taken.

I'm a bit bias in Skrinjars case admittedly having played ball with him, his brother and being coached by his father for a long time. It just irks me when people bring things that have zero relation to football into a football thread. Especially things that are now in the past and cleared up.

Irks us all too.... AND things were NOT cleard up...Just not enough coming forward to push issue...PLZ dont make it sound like not guilty, never went to trial...The past is the past and your correct this is a FOOTBALL thread not the hard times magazine that comes out weekly...

Cool

Bottom line...Skrinjar has the Southern Local football program "up and running". Major "props" to him! Ten years ago you would hope they would be able to field a football team, and now; number wise, they have one of the largest turnouts in the ITCL? He must be doing something right? Coach Skrinjar keep up the good work! I know your community loves you and that's the only thing that is important.

sorry about the absense, but i wanna aviod talking about my home team alittle so Columbiana and the Clippers are next?

being from the upper tier i have payed no attention to this team

so the questions the returning players

i know that coach will replenish talent so not worried about many holes

1) QB
2) RB
3) OL/DL
4) WRs
5) LBs and DBs

How are things going on in Lowellville concerning with the football program? It seems pretty quiet? What position is Moore expected to play? Who do people think the starting offensive players are and at what position will they play? First game against YCS scares me. However, the kids need to remember it's a marathon and not a sprint? Hopefully it will be a successful season. Go Rockets!

I heard Harklerode has the edge at QB. A sophomore. Personally I think Moore should be given the opportunity having the ability and leadership. Other then that... things are quiet in Lowellville from what I hear? I wonder if people care anymore?

It's a smart move to try Harklerode, maybe coach is looking into the future. Moore will still be there if needed. Harklerode shows great promise but without protection, it doesnt matter what quarterback is there, you cant do much when the line caves in. I heard Harklerode broke his ankle so its looking like Moore is the QB. Like I said, we need a line to block and the team could do amazing things if that happens. If Stevens hangs in there, Moore at QB and a solid line, Lowellville could be a threat! AND, if Harklerode recovers quickly with Stevens and Moore in the back field ALONG WITH A LINE THAT BLOCKS, Lowellville may surprise some people. We shall see!

I hope the young man is fine. And Lucente in the picture also helps.

A loss is a loss and almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and presidential elections. Who cares what the score was Wellsville won both of those games in McDonald and McDonald was league champs and state ranked one of those years and a younger team than McDonald last year don't try to downplay what other lower tier teams couldn't do.

We wont know Southerns complete lineup until after the Itilian Festival in Wellsville is over. That is when things will start to solidify.

I support the league all the time. I go many ITCL games every year.

I want to see someone challenge those teams out west.

ITCL is not even close to that yet. I don't see much improvement.

Not to many small team leagues throughout the country can compete with those "teams out west." Enjoy the ITCL for what it is and support them into week eleven and on? The league represents themselves pretty good "year in and year out." Almost every school in the lower tier in the last twenty years has made "noise" in the playoffs. McDonald at one time did it consistently. Lowellville in the mid-nineties and 2002. Wellsville also played in a state championship with the "Carter kid". Leetonia made a nice run with Aaron Merrill about seven years ago. WR had a great run last year losing in the semi-finals. Columbiana has consistenty made the playoffs with a few 2nd round victories I believe? Southern is a program which was almost dead about ten years ago; however, look at them now? And Sebring will eventually also get there just like a few of the other school who struggled in the past? I don't think that's a shabby representation if you look at the "big picture." Not too many leagues wins state championships with different teams like the "teams out west" throughout the United States! And sometimes you need to wonder if they are doing it with their own kids if you can catch my drift?

Oh here we go.. the MAC teams are good because they cheat....

It is not because they play top competition week in and out and work 10 times harder in the off season than any team in the ITCL!

It is the American theme now a days, if your successful you did not do it by hard work you cheated/stole for your success.

SAD!!!

How come you just can't leave it lay? The ITCL is a small local school league and they have done some good in the playoffs, but you seem to just want them to be able to compete with the private schools who draft and those who recruit for players. You are dreaming and your dreams are about to bust. This league has a declining overall enrollment with both teirs. It ain't gonna happen unless some districts merge and that also will not happen. (ie: EP, once D3 now almost D7!, best merge is with C-view and Columbiana).Get over it, go troll elsewhere.
