The little league coaches vote and yes it is true the reds coach got the team. I don't think this year will be WS year. With the talent that is coming up on the 11's 10's and 9's they should be making an appereance to willamsport soon. Since KC didn't get the 12's does this mean he will be coaching with his wing man again on the 11's?

That is a good question. Who is coaching with Nichting? Will the winning Trio from last year re-unite?

Until you get to all-star level, few Little League catchers would have any chance of throwing out would-be base stealers if they had leads. Even the good catchers would have a hard time; runners would flow around the bases without needing hits to advance them. That part of the game is fine the way it is.

I'd add North Canton to those teams that will have a chance to knock off Hamilton in the state tournament. Their program, and facilities, are excellent.

I was at the state tournament two years ago when it was up in Elyria. Hamilton won it behind a terrific pitcher named Morrison, then went on to win the regional. I went to Williamsport and saw them play there, also. Still have the t-shirt in my closet. There's really nothing like making that trip to Pennsylvania and seeing all the international teams. Quite an event.

I have know the Reds coach for years and he's an awful coach. I believe he was run out of Middletown and Princeton for bad coaching. The coaches at the league dropped the ball on this one because GOD and the entire city will witness this idiot fall on his face. Calling it now 0-2 and BBQ!

Big Blue fan...I have seen him coach and I think he does a good job with those boys. Much better than the guy who had the team last year. He has had better records with his little league team than him. I think KC is a great coach too no one can take that away from him. If you guys are going to point your finger at KC and TN for hurting kids arms and allowing kids to throw curve balls then you need to point your finger at all the coaches over there that coach at the little league leval. I have seen multiple games over there and every team lets there kids throw curve balls!

So I hear 2 of the coaches were called upon by the Ol's pres of the league amist a "rumor" that their vote was givin' upon the Reds coach selecting their kid on the beloved All-Satr team. I can see clearly why the Reds coach recieved enough votes now. If this is true the parents should be in an uproar and the coach should step aside. If these 2 kids make this team it's gonna go nuts over there! Can't wait until the 15th

Those coaches aren't going to admit anything. I called up someone very close to the situation. They said that they are 100% sure that he made deals with coaches and spread false rumors about what Kenny Coomer would do if he got the team. With that being said Kenny Coomer also paired up with a father. Bother sets of coaches did some sort of politicing (sp?) The fact is WSLL has always been that way but this year those coaches got it wrong, but not my problem. Good Luck to all involved.

I heard from a very realiable soruce the Ol' Reds coach took the Pirates and the White Sox kid on the team. He took 11 and left a few better kids off the team. This place is going to explode come Sunday! I did hear he took the last yrs coach's kid, must have been scared he get beat up. Still calling it 0-2 and the BBQ! This coach is a joke and the WSLL managers messed this up for the entire city to watch can't wait to watch this unfold!

They are announcing all All star teams on Sunday....I don't know where you are getting your info but from what I heard you are wrong. I believe he is taking 12 but we shall all wait and see till Sunday. From what I understand the kid from the White Sox deserves to be on that team he has really stepped it up this year. Regardless of your persoanal opionions about the reds coach I hear he is doing a good job so far he has had multiple people there to help during skills training, and he is looking at every kid trying out. Maybe you should pull whatever is shoved up your out and let the list be posted before you start saying things that you heard from billy bob.

Wsll proud reds wife. I have talked to one of the many coaches and have looked at the top 13 on the list. He's taking 11 and the Pirates and White Sox boys were on the list. Maybe you. Should check your contacts! Neither of these two coaches kids should make it. But we shall see!

Lay off the kids, they are 12 and don't need a grown man bashing them.

Good Reading

I look forward to this time of year to read all the infighting over kids hitting a ball over a 225 ft fence. Just hilarious.

I can understand why there’s a lot of talk about the 12’s this year but I’d like to think the 11’s and 10’s should be!!! I will quickly comment on the 12’s situation & say there are a few talented kids that will make the team but this by far is a down year for making a run for Williamsport, but to do what last year’s 12’s did would be a miracle for this year’s team no matter who the coach is. It’s not the coach, it’s the lack of PITCHING TALENT…Moving on, now the 11’s don’t have this issue I mean they’re still developing their pitching but strong potential is there and hitting oh gosh, where do I begin? 1 thru 9 can flat out hit, with bench players that can step up and fill in any gaps. Defensively, these kids don’t make many errors, fundamentally sound PERIOD!!! Look out for them to win back to back state titles again this year. The 10’s now they have just as much TALENT but it’s going to come down to who’s leading them and how they go about choosing their roster. Will the best talent get picked on this year’s team? GOOD LUCK WSLL!!!

Hey Blue why so quite looks like your wonderful source was a little wrong or does your source blow as much smoke out of his as you?? Looks like the Reds coach isn't afraid of the coach from last year and he didn't pick a certain kids son that he supposly had a deal with to get the team. You are pathetic....you just come on here and want to start drama get a freaking life!!!! And no I am not Ol reds coach wife last time I checked I pee standing up!!! To the twelve year old team good luck hope you go far this year and good luck to all the other teams as well.

I also think the 11's and 10's will go far...they have a ton of talent on both teams

BTW- The list for WSLL All Stars got posted Sunday around 11:45 and well some 12 year old parents will be disappointed, but I'm sure that's nothing new for this league. Word on the street is that KC will be coaching alongside the Reds coach this year, if they can co-exist I feel they can win a few more games but State Champs still a long shot without above average pitching. And just so you know they have some really cool kids on the12's All Star team but cool kids won't get you a State Championship, which then leads to Indy where the competition just gets better!!!

I did find out that the 12's play at 6 and that is the only game going on at that time. They want everyone to watch. Don't know any other times.

from reading these post, sound like you could try what I did when coaching kids that were in 3 and 4 grade. I ask them to write up a with a line-up. and guess what out of 14 line-ups everyone have the seven players playing the same postions.

Because kids that play little league never become successful baseball players only travel ball or select kids succeed.

I was being sarcastic once again another poster was taking a cheap shot at little league. Don't know how long you've read yappi but it not uncommon for posters to bash little league kids.
