Lebanon - Beatable??

Will probably get beat at some point this Saturday in Canton - but is there a legit threat to beat them in the tourney before the reach Akron?

I just don't see it...

Any day.. any team can beat another - but wow...

15-0 and 26-0 in 1st2 tourney games...

ugh. of course they can be beat. They haven't faced good pitching in almost a month. That changes, starting Saturday.

Come on Spear. Are you trying to jinx them? Of course they can be beat. Like you said on any given day anything can happen and there is plenty of good pitching in SW OH to cause problems. I've seen every inning of every game this season and the fact is that they haven't faced a top notch pitcher in a few weeks, and since that time, it seems to me they have been going through the motions a little. I see a lack of emotion and sense of urgency the past few weeks. Hopefully that changes this weekend and going forward.

pretty sure we didnt under estimate Poland.......

HSFB
Remember this......

They do have a solid squad and should so well in league play and make some noise in the playoffs. I seen both teams play at SWOBAT one was definitely a little stronger than the other. I also seen 2 games at Sin Claire sound pitching and solid D did not see a lot of offense though especially for a team with 5 D1 recruits...

All you have to do is win one game to find out how good Lebanon is ! Good Luck !

Talking Go Cards!

HSFB, like my girls, yours' have suffered some tough times this year. I, for one, will be rooting for the Cards against a fine Ursuline team, and then , most likely, a really solid Lebanon squad. As I've stated before, unless they play us, I will always support the GMC team against all others. GO CARDS! The same goes for each of the GMC rep's in all games.

Wink Poland game

According to a thread on this forum, Modic pitched against Lebanon. Check out "5-12 Scores" thread on Yappi. Gabriel pitched against Hoover.

I wasn't sure and I heard conflicting info from other people. Sorry, I didn't realize it was a problem to ask a question about Lebanon on a Lebanon thread. Thanks for the heads-up though.

HeavyHitter, I was just conveying where I got my information. I meant no disrepect to you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Which regional will Lebanon be in? If it's Columbus, I'd say they won't even be the favorite. My bad in advance if I'm way off on my geography

MCGal - No, Lebanon is in the Clayton Northmont regional. They'd play Mason/Fairfield most likely in the Regional semi and Northmont/Miamisburg/Fairborn in the final. (assuming they beat Colerain in district).

BTW - Lebanon beat Beavercreek 9-0 tonight.

B - 000 000 0
L - 300 042 X

Trainer gave up 2 hits and 3 walks in a CG. Struck out 11 or so.

Having now seen them, they can be beat if you are patient at the plate and can field the ball cleanly. Lebanon broke it open when Beavercreek's pitcher (guessing it was VanSant) started tiring and the defense got loose with the ball. Lebanon won't beat themselves in the field (only had one bobble all game) and puts the pressure on the basepaths.

Congrats to Lebanon on the great tourney run... you were unbeatable to all but one, no shame in that. Great effort today.

Wink Beatable...

Everyone is beatable...sooner or later. However, winning on the biggest stage is what's remembered. Hoover lost this year, also..but won the biggest game of the year, again...when it counted. Lebanon had a fine year, only surpassed by Hoovers'. Congratulations to both!

Only one team (in each division) is left not crying at the end of the year. NC Hoover is always a beast. Lebanon gave them a great game and had a great run. Lebanon returns a lot of talent and could very well be the favorite in the state next year.
Great season and there is surely no reason for anyone associated with Lebanon to hang their head for losing to NC Hoover in the state finals. Just making it there is a ton of fun....incredible ride Warriors.
