The Tigers are the favorite to win Region 2. However, this is only March/April. Much can and will happen.
Some of these comments concerning the reasons for recent smaller offensive lines at MWHS are hilarious. Now we have an Iggy fan trying to draw analogies about the size of offensive lines in high school football from socio-economic data. I think it has more to do with GEOGRAPHICAL DATA. In other words the larger the school drawing area the more consistentcy you will have in the levels of football talent. By the way, the next several Tiger offensive lines will be just fine.
Why not? You allowed NP into the Fed at one time, you won't allow Massillon, thank you by the way for that. Ya'll thought New Phila was a good fit for the fed, but not us....Therefore, Perry CAN be compared to New Phila.
Massillon plays Perry, GlenOak, and McKinley next year; three of the 5 Stark Fed D1's. All games are part of home and home series, and two of the three games are on the road in the Fed schools' stadiums.
The two schools which refuse to play Massillon are Jackson and Hoover. That tells you all you need to know about their institutional cojones and the honesty of their officials who attempt to explain away the league's decision not to admit Massillon.
The story here is that Hoover and Jackson view themselves as first among equals, looking down on the other league members with a sense of smugness that borders on contempt. In fact, their self-styled superiority is a manufactured illusion, a willful deception which allows them to avoid seeing what others know all too well: they are liars and cowards.

This is very rich and full of irony from a school that wouldn't' have any part in wanting to schedule home and home's with some fed teams awhile back.
"liars and cowards", are you sure you're not talking about Jason Hall dropping Iggy while claiming Massillon doesn't need to play the private school due to unfair recruiting yet the private schools that don't pose a threat to a loss on the Tigers schedule appear on their schedule since this proclamation.
Hoover and Jackson gets the blame from not scheduling, where's Lake in this picture?

You do realize that NP competes against lower competition than Perry, Mass and NC?.
In terms of district success Perry and NC avg better than a top 5 place while Massillon avg 6.8 place. I wouldn't bash Wooster too much when they were in the same district they avg a better placing than Massillon.
And your whole logic on NP comparing to Perry is out there.

The liars? No one knows for sure. The only thing we as outsiders can determine is who the cowards are, let's take a closer look, shall we?

Hoover has played two division I non conference opponents since 2004, and are 0-2 against STOW & GREEN. Yes, STOW & GREEN.
Let's recap quickly, Hoover has played
Stow
Louisville
Lexington
DW CANADA
Calvin Coolidge DC
Dunbar DC
Licking Valley
Canton Central Catholic
Green
I'll give you Louisville, though you're 2-6 against them.
Over that same time frame, Massillon has played
Benedictine (who only called because of a "team of a lifetime.")
St. Ignatius (multiple times)
St. Edward
Warren (multiple times)
Elder
Mentor (multiple times)
Moeller
Chandler AZ. (nationally ranked)
Middletown
Solon
Ursuline
Steubenville
Red Lion (a team that wasn't very good, but was thought to be a powerhouse when they were scheduled)
Again, who's lying? Who knows....Who's the coward? I think we now know.

Yes, but do you know that Stow, Louisville, Lexington Licking Valley, Canton Central Catholic, Green, Dunbar DC, Calvin Coolidge DC, Donald Wilson Canada, compete against, "lower competition"?

You make some good points. However, you forgot to mention the Tigers have also played Stow and DC Coolidge several times recently and that they have also scheduled Friedly Edison DC, Youngstown Woodrow Wilson, Brantford, ONTARIO, North Park, ONTARIO, Cincinnati Western Hills, Cleveland Lincoln-West, Eastlake North, Akron Firestone, Akron Garfield, Akron Hoban, Mansfield, Parma Normandy and Avon Grove, Pa.
Also after the first three weeks Hoover does play Boardman, McKinley, Fitch, Lake, Perry, GlenOak and Jackson every year.
By the way Licking Valley, Lexington, Green and Central Catholic all have better football programs than the above listed Tiger opponents.

I was about to post something like this but to add, Massillon has scheduled powerhouses Eastlake North, Western Hills Cincy x2 and Avon Grove Pa a week before the McK to boot.
Never admitted that I lied, I admitted that it was in jest, sarcasm if you will. If you could please find the post and show everyone I would greatly appreciate it.
Nitemare, so you want Hoover to win some kind of humanitarian award for playing teams....IN THEIR OWN LEAGUE? Of course they have played Jackson, GlenOak, Lake, Perry, McKinley, Boardman & Fitch....THEY'RE IN THE SAME LEAGUE. You know, the league Massillon wants to join? Furthermore, you list those teams like they've done something, what have they done to make me sit up and say, "Oh wow, Hoover has played GlenOak."? "Oh....They have also scheduled Boardman? "WOW". I'm not a big Fed basher, but playing those teams does not impress me. Remember, as I said earlier, Massillon wants to play those teams too.
Don't over think it guys, Massillon has also played some chumps, but no one on those lists, sans McKinley, (who, btw, we have played since 1894), even comes close to Ignatius, St. Edward, Warren, Elder, Mentor, Moeller, Solon, Ursuline or Steubenville.
Wasn't you who said Fairless's HC has a football player living with him? Than later admitted he lied?
Wasn't you the one who stated the the City of Massillon was funding its High School Football team instead of fixing a bridge or doing street repairs?
Who lied?
This was your first post in this thread, which as usual you live up to your pathetic trolling ways, but prove to me you are lying once again.

What do you have, that you can share that links Coach Hall what-so-ever to the transfer of Nathaniel Devers to Massillon? Because if you can't, then you are lying once again.... So lets have it.

Well you have a coach from Massillon, who's been known to recruit kids to play football and the transfer is going to be a highly recruited D1 college athlete that happens to play at the first school Jason Hall was a HC. Put two and two together and grab a tissue.

JH, "has been known to recruit kids"? Haha, example please.

You keep attempting this crying reference, but there is no tears, there is just your bull---- on this thread. I'm calling you are punk. I am calling you a liar. I am posting on this thread that you are zero credibility. I am asking you to post solid information to back up your statement of FACT on this board, and you HAVE NOTHING!
I'm calling you out as a liar, and this is the weak --- stuff you come back with? Are you serious? Put two and two together? What two and what two you freaking tool.
Lets have some actual information, or everyone on this board is going to know you are full of ----. So lets have it...

What's the Tiger's record against the above mentioned teams? You can do the research? Or should I do it later.
Fact is Massillon has been overated for the past twenty years or so. Great history, some absolutley great teams and players in the past, however this is not 1964.
I'm not a Massillon hater, only a fan that is providing my educated opinion. I do think Massillon is the team to beat in region 2 and the best in Stark County heading into this season. However, Heff you don't know shi......

The point was simply about "cowardice", now you can sit here and say that we didn't win those games, but the fact is....we actually played them. I have yet to see an Ignatius, Elder, Moeller, St. Edward, hell, even a Mentor or Solon on Hoovers schedule....Remember, you can't beat em if you're afraid to play em.
I do know we hold winning records against
Elder 5-0
St. Edward 3-2
Mentor 6-4
And
Hoover 4-1
Remember, you can't beat em if you're afraid to play em.
Says the team that drops Iggy, declares a protest against unfair advantages that privates school have than schedules a cupcake out of state private school.

I will say one thing about Hoover....They have NEVER dropped Iggy. Haha.
