Don't know yet, but will let you know. Coach Grant said he would call Shawn. Pinned his first wrestle off to get to this point. What his Dad told me is how proud they are for his academics. They say he is doing great. One thing that impressed us was they are #1 in the MAC as far as Student Athletics.
This is awesome news. Zach is going to be a force to be reckoned with at 133. He really has become a special talent on the mat over the years. Hear is the full story. http://www.niuhuskies.com/sports/m-w...110609aab.html
As far as the question about McGookey, I don't know.
Awesome Zach is the real deal. That kid he beat only lost 3 times in his high school career in Kansas. That being said, give me a kid from Ohio that won state any day of the week against a kid from kansas that 4x. No disrespect to Tristan, but that's the way kids roll from Ohio!!
Congrats to the trio who won last night- those are three guys to be reckoned with for the Huskies.
As for the last comment, I would tend to agree with you, but not always. Our senior year, Chris Tripp lost in the first round of NHSCA's to a 4xer who I think was from Kansas. He then won 10 or 11 wrestlebacks in a row to finish 3rd behind Steve Luke and Jarrod King. I might be wrong on some details here, but that is the way I remember it.

I like that and way to go Zach, I guess you would take over were Tristan was rank in the MAC. I believe #2

But come on Guru I think what you meant to say was the boys that really roll are from PA.

Go Bucks!!!
I would think you are right in that he would take over that ranking. The ranking for DeShazer was third at 133, behind Mitcheff (KSU) and Sentes (CMU).

Haha I gotcha... Let's just say were proud of the ones we roll out that accomplish something like that! My guess is these 2 will probably go back and forth throughout the year. It will be fun to keep up with, that's for sure.
