High School Basketball its about the players

A message to all parents, aunt, uncles, whomever:
High School basketball is about letting your daughters start the transition to being young women. Its time to let them succeed or fail without you. Its time to let them EARN whatever playing time they get. There is nothing wrong with a 14/15 year old girl who does not start varsity!! Basketball is a TEAM sport so support the TEAM.

Coaches:
foster a vibrant winning atmosphere that is free from ANY outside influences. Mean what you say and say what you mean. Remember its about the players. Treat all players fairly!! Fairly does not neccessarily mean equally. Be an advocate for those players on your team that need you. Show loyalty to those who have gone through the fire with you. Make EVERYONE earn their keep.

Players:
Respect your teammates. Respect your opponents. Work hard!! Have fun!! Enjoy these years they will be some of the best years of your life win or lose. Have a great season!!! Good luck to all!!

I guess im not the only one that see's the existing problems in today's world of high school sports.. Numbers are sadly down almost everywhere, for those reasons stated by ih8smac... Parents are amazing these days, I have a child who plays high school basketball and I would never let him quit b/c of selfish, spoiled attention getting reasons, and these parents are letting teenage kids make adult decisions.. High school sports has always and always will be a mediphor for life lessons.. It's a DAM shame that today's parents are raising them differently then how they were raised.. AMAZING...

I have always said there is no more refreshing way to get the basketball season started than to receive a lecture from a complete stranger. Thank you so much, and bless your hearts.

It's a shame that you have to use poor language to get your point across.
