By just the opposite aspect, Lucas is probably the best. Cassel is the overall better player but I believe that the blocking and hitting goes to Lucas. Therefore he is the best opposite out there right now until someone can make me change my mind. IMO

I don't know Lucas very well, and haven't seen him play a whole lot. So, I suppose I can't give many reasons why I like Cassell more...but neither of our opinions are unbiased

Oh dont get me wrong overall Cassel is way better than Lucas. Thats no question. Im just putting it into the front row perspective of what jobs an opposite does for a team, block and hit. Lucas is 6'7 and i think he has an upper hand with the blocking, and i just think he can place the ball better.
Of course Cassel is the better player, i just think Lucas is the better "opposite" not overall player
Also, I think Lucas has thus far been one of the most underachieving players during high school volleyball. He has played up during club, and Id assume done well, but has yet to make ANY kind of impact for Elder on Varsity after being WAY hyped last year
Thats because Cassell is a setter. I understand your point, but just curious, what are you trying to prove?
Im just trying to say that Cassel is the better overall player BUT Lucas is the better opposite. When Cassel is in the front row he plays opposite, and im saying that Lucas is better in that aspect. It seems that people are saying Cassel is better than Lucas and i think the opposite (no pun intended haha)
You aren't comprehending what I'm saying. I'm not talking about Miracle. This kid played with Miracle at Milford last year. He was in the 16's for club so now he should be in the 17's for Attack.
The kid from Milford is pretty strong. Anyone know his name? If I'm correct I think he's an outside.
wait it says that you go to milford high school in your profile so how do you not know who he is? that doesnt make much sense ,unless you are trying to get some self recognition... is that it ?
Heres a roster of all of the players on the 2009 Milford Varsity team. (Uniform number, name, grade, position) So the player you are talking about should be in this list..
Judging by Milfords team last year, there was really nobody that caught my eye except for Miracle. There were solid players on the team but no real standouts (except for miracle again). Im sure Tyler Carnes will develop because he was only a sophomore last year. Hopefully he does improve because i am all about players schocking the people out there.
LaSalle has alot of talent with Ketzer Johanson Bosch and others. X will be good because of tradition. Moeller will be the best defensive team is the state except maybe Ignatious.
Thoughts next season's Moeller, Xavier, and LaSalle teams?
Moeller- lost a bunch from last years state final year. But they will comme back this year and play well. With Hunter leading the team and Skove outside, im sure they will be decent on offense. Defensively, they will dominate. White, Eckhoff, Hunter, and Skove are all great defensive players and it'lll be tough to get a kill on these guys.
St Xavier- once again, they lose a lot from last years team (POY), but are bringing back a legit team to the 2010 season. With Matt Kues and Lottman leading this team, along with Devine and Keyes, they should be pretty decent up front. Not sure who will fill in for the opposite. But the defense is where they will be shaky at... Losing Ram, Kues, Doud, and Chaz, their defense is gonna be shaky
LaSalle- I think this team will surprise a lot of people this year. They lost their big middle setter and outside, but have enough returning that i think they will give teams trouble. With Johanson and that big opposite playing, i think they will bring some good offense, their defense is questionable though. Watch out for them to get a surprise win of two in the GCL this year.

Oh, okay. I don't know of any of the others, but I'll take your word for it! Let's go Iggy defense!
But will their offense balance them out enough to be an all around team?? I dont know too much about Iggy. I know they lost their first team all state opposite Herceg and their big middle Adler. But do they have a good offense this year?
