From what I'm hearing Crouch is the man. A young man that I've known since he was a kid is now a Coach at Big Blue says Crouch is was working his tail off in the weightroom until he started baseball. Winning lifter of the week a few times. He has been working hard a long with quite a few young men over there in the new weightroom. Don't think there is going to be a QB controversy this year.

I would say Crouch for this year and after that Riggins for the next three.

Hamilton's OT Ben Flick committed to UC today. Congrats to the young man!

Seems like Crouch's job to lose - only problem is that he's been more than capable of losing it in the past. Hopefully not this year.

There has been a colerain transfer that plays QB so right now there looks like their could be competition for the position.

A kid from Colerain that plays QB sounds good to me.

he will not help at qb this year.
qb will not be the problem. they need to find a few more players
at other positions.

I hope you're right because QB hurt this team last year. I do think Crouch playing all season will help but I don't see Hamilton being a playoff team.

All QBs from last year (Varsity/JV) are still at Colerain except Smith who will graduate.

Since there isn't much talk about the upcoming season lets see if we can try and guess the starters for the 2012 season.

Offense
QB-Crouch
RB-Bailey
RB-Frierson or (Hurley)
WR-Denton
Wr-McIntosh (could be Goolsby if he plays)
TE-______
T-Flick
G-Halcomb
C-Parker
G-Wagner
T-Pankey

Defense
DE-_______
DT-Spradling
DT-_______
DE-_______
OLB-Shope
MLB-Oliver
OLB-_______
CB-Lewis
CB-_______
S-_______
S-_______

This is all just a guess to try and get some talk started. Form the looks of it Parker, Flick, Bailey, Frierson, and Oliver may have to play a lot both ways.

Found out Kennedy is not playing football this season. So it looks like it's going to be Crouch at QB this season.

A family friend that's close to the program has told me that here has been a lot of coaching changes throughout the program. Is there any truth to this, and if so who is there and who hs left. Also will this effect the teams production this season?

I went to the Ross 7on7 and they looked good on the offensive side. Crouch got rid of the ball much quicker than last year and Riggins looked great. I was surprised by his arm strength. The WR's looked good as well McIntosh looked to be the top WR or at least that's who they threw it to the most. It's hard to tell how good anyone will be in a 7on7 but it does look like the secondary will struggle. Obviously the loss of Rowlette and Givens at safety will be tough to replace. As far as coaching changes I didn't really notice any new faces.

I didnt think Riggins was at this 7on7, I thought he was in Florida for AAU Nationals.

Read this in the journal today I love the spread offense being installed I think it will fit Hamilton perfect. I've wanted that offense at Hamilton for a while since Hamilton has always had good athletes now we get to see them out in space. Also Ashon as the possibly starter at QB is interesting.

Wasn't even close Hamilton was manhandled on both sides of the ball. Oline could not block Colerain at all. On defense the dline and secondary looked awful. Crouch was kicked out for fighting so I don't know if he is suspended or not. But with all that said it was just a scrimmage and hopefully this wakes the kids up and they put in the effort to become better. The only thing positive I saw was the special teams. Crouch is on heck of a punter and I guess it was Morrison kicking off he was put the ball in the end zone on the opening kick.

I would think suspension rules would apply since it is an official scheduled date by OHSAA listed in the handbook on scrimmages. And at a minimun, Id think Jacoby would uphold a game or so sitting period to stongly apply to the boys these sort of things will not go on within this team. Time will tell!! Heck, Id kick someones bass back in the day and just have to just sit a quarter... lol
