Collegiate baseball Newspaper ranked Butler 21 in the nation. Ohio's only team on the list. So proud of these boys and what they will hopefully accomplish this season. I have watched them grow from young boys to men over the last 10 years. From Butler Bullets and Buckeyes to Aviators! Be proud of this but remember that it means nothing in the preseason it's all about how you finish!

Games played regulations are dictated by the state associations. I think most of Ohio's surrounding states allow for more games to be played.
Good luck to the Aviators.
The fact that Butler is on the list and Moeller isn't tells me that this "poll" doesn't have alot of credibility. We will see who goes further in the post season and who is ranked higher in the stats at the end of the year. I'll give you hint it won't be Butler. Why so much hype for a team that will be lucky to win 13 games this year?

Jealous much? Yes, we all know Moeller has a top notch baseball program, but the HS baseball world does not revolve around them. Sorry that Butler knocked your wonderful Moe out of last year's postseason tournament, but no need to be so jealous...Moeller had a pretty decent team last year too, and you should appreciate that...just not as good as Butler. Butler was 27-4 last year and returns a lot of talent including 1st team All-State pitcher Taylore Cherry and many others. Thanks for your concern over Butler not being able to win 13, but I think they just might do it.

Very cool. There are some big name schools on that list and notice how most of those are in warm climates. Nice to see some cold weather schools getting some props too. Have to take these things in stride and not get too excited about it. Others on here already said it and I will echo the sentiment just gotta keep the eye on the prize.
Congratulations to Butler for gettting some national pub. I for one hope they are able to back it up with a state title run. It would be good for baseball in the area.
It's a shame that a Moeller supporter has to show up and act like a fool. The players/coaches at Moeller deserve better than being linked with someone like that.
Speaking of Vandalia where did the baseball guy go? The baseball site replaced him with a plane logo. New look for Vandalia in 2012? Who's got the scoop?
You sure??? Think that 6'8" kid from Solon would be...
Not my picks. They are from MaxPreps site. Check it out for yourself. thePITman's post #16 on this thread provides the link to MaxPreps pre-season honors. They named Butler the #1 team in Ohio and Butler's Cherry the #1 player in Ohio and Butler's Cherry as a top ten pitcher in the nation.
Usally reports from Max Prep is 6 months to a year old information. No doubt that Cherry may be one of the top pitchers in the nation and either 1 or 2 in Ohio. But there are better sources of rankings than Max prep. Better choices of information may include Baseball America, Perfect Game or Prep Baseball Report.
thats why he sucked for midland over rated and Ive seen him pitch about 12 times
Wow.....jealous much? Your right...these pro scouts don't know what their talking about. And the 13 batters that got mowed down last night must have just been having a bad night. Cherry is human and of course is going to have off nights. Smo up in Solon has had his share too....it is what it is. Both of these guys are great and we need to appreciate the fact that we have them both to watch this year. Enjoy and quit hating.
How did the Badin / Butler scrimmage go last night. Did Cherry pitch?
Perfect Day For Baseball
