Greatest threat to Cavs in the East, this year?

Which team do you think is the greatest threat to beat the Cavs in the playoffs this season?

I made this poll because I think it's a different team than everyone would immediately assume.

Taco MacArthur 12-13-17 01:52 PM

I too think it'll be Milwaukee.

Raider6309 12-13-17 02:33 PM

Bucks

Michael Bluth 12-13-17 03:55 PM

I am curious to see how Jabari Parker's return will impact Milwaukee, positively or negatively.

They'll certainly have some firepower if he can come back and contribute right away

BigBulldog 12-14-17 10:12 AM

It depends on who is playing the best come play-off time.

It could be Boston,Toronto,or the Bucks.

No One

Michael Bluth 12-14-17 02:45 PM

I'm thinking it's Milwaukee, but if Gordon Hayward makes a miraculous recovery then I'd change it to Boston

Chop Stix 12-14-17 05:49 PM

Knicks. Porzingis is unstoppable.

Arrogate 12-14-17 06:07 PM

Injury

Neopolitan 12-14-17 06:23 PM

Any answer other than Boston qualifies as a hot take

arizonawildcat 12-14-17 10:32 PM

Nice of Leron to take it easy tongiht on his future teammates.

I disagree. I don't see Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown being even close to ready to beat LeBron in a playoff series as the #2 and 3 options (Horford has always been a zero vs. the Cavs in playoffs).

I suppose you could say the same about Milwaukee though...what's their second and third: Bledsoe and Middleton? But Giannis is a much scarier #1 than Kyrie IMO

Neopolitan 12-15-17 09:05 AM

Ignoring Brad Stevens vs Jason Kidd/Ty Lue in that equation seems an oversight.

Michael Bluth 12-15-17 09:42 AM

I think Kidd is a pretty solid coach but yeah, Stevens is top 3 in the NBA, if not the best.

Ultimately, maybe I just don't think either team is ready to threaten the Cavs. Boston has a crazy bright future though.

Neopolitan 01-14-18 10:43 PM

This thread hasn't aged well.

Michael Bluth 01-15-18 09:05 AM

Probably overestimated Milwaukee but Boston still isn't a threat this year without Hayward. Toronto should have received more love

OhioBobcatFan06 01-16-18 09:17 AM

Injuries are the only thing that can derail the Cavs in the East.

Boston is the best this year. At some point moving forward the Bucks and 76ers really could make a leap.

14Red 01-16-18 09:28 AM

Biggest threat to the Cavs is themselves. This team simply cannot defend, LeBron controls everything on that team. The Warriors pulled away last night with Curry and Durrant on the bench. The Warriors pass the ball, the Cavs do not. For a stretch last night, it looked like a tug of war between LB, IT and Wade to see who would shoot the ball first. Supposedly Crowder was supposed to have been brought in to guard Durrant...wrong. The Cavs have no matchup for Durrant except LeBron, and he simply can't guard everyone. Cavs will be fortunate to get out of the east this year.

cabezadecaballo 01-16-18 09:49 AM

Charles Barkley

Taco MacArthur 01-16-18 09:52 AM

Jason Kidd sucks.

Michael Bluth 01-17-18 09:55 AM

It's unfortunate the Cavs don't have a real coach, but I suppose that's LeBron's choice
