View Full Version : Terrell Pryor or Jacory Harris?
UCbball21
09-08-09, 02:02 AM
Saw the last QB comparison thread and thought this one was a bit better. Both are athletic sophmore QB's for upper echelon programs, which one is better?
Stat comparison for the first week: Pryor- 14-21, 174 yards, 2 TD's (1 rushing), 1 INT, and 30 Rushing Yards against Navy
Harris: 21-34, 386 yards, 3 TD's (1 rushing), and 2 INT's against #18 FSU
I'm going to go with Harris, while Pryor is a better scrambler Jacory Harris made some great throws and definitely looked like the better passer against a much tougher opponent. Also Jacory wasn't much of a rushing threat but evaded the rush on multiple occasions and found the open man. Both are going to be great players but I gotta give the edge to Jacory, he looks like he's going to lead the Canes back to there original national prominence over these next 3 years. Don't forget to elaborate on your choice...

After week one Harris is the bestter QB, but it's a long season. The question might be better answered after this Saturday.

Pryor.

Pryor...Why? Perhaps because one game stats don't matter. Pryor is the better QB for the long haul.
Come back to this thread later in the season and compare the stats.

Harris. Did anyone else hear him say he was throwing with his thumb and index finger because his arm was numb after a hit. Thats a gamer right there.

I'd take Pryor because of his running ability. His arm is comparable to Harris, but Jacory doesn't have the size, speed, or strength of Pryor. But we don't have to make this choice. It will be settled next September, on the field, when the Canes come to Columbus. Props to OSU for continuing to schedule big time non-conference games.

At this point it's not even close, Harris is a much better QB. JT won't allow Pryor to be Pryor, thus taking away his best ability (running)...Harris throws a much better ball and just looks comfortable.

I agree with this... but there is a chance he might go back to using his legs more this week when they play USC to give OSU a better chance to win this game IMO. Pryor is scary good when he is looks to run the ball.
With that said Harris looked really good last night and definitely could become one of the top QB's in the nation in the next few years.

If I'm starting my own team Pryor would probably be the first player in the nation I would take. He'd be a perfect fit into my offense though, and definitely has more potential then any player in the nation, IMO. Harris looked like the better player this past weekend though, plus if Pryor was on my team he wouldn't be running out of bounds to avoid hits... So I might need to reconsider based on that alone.

Jacory Harris! I truly wonder how many top 25 Div.1 Head Coachs would answer this poll's question. My opinion; most would take Harris and go with the arm.

Pryor. Miami has much better WR's and Oline. I didn't really see anything special that Harris did, but I did see what the WR/TE's and OL did to make Harris look good. Harris is one blow away from never playing football again.

You talking about the '09 FSU/Miami game? Like the one from last night? Or a different one?

And no way Harris is surrounded my more talent than Pryor. OSU has recruited very well the last two three years. After last nights performance I'd take Harris but it is still a very long season.

Miami this year has more talent that OSU, the line play is just dredful! Harris is the better QB but he's also surrounded with freak speed athletes.

OSU is LUCKY they didn't play UC this weekend, if they would have they would have had their pants pulled down in front of the whole country. Not to mention they would be starting 0-2.
So do I. Glad to see you are only using one screen name this year. D-bag.

How could you possibly decide who's the better team between Rutgers and Navy. To me, it would be a toss-up game.

Pryor has better running ability but I didn't realize how good of a passer Harris was until watching that game last night. That over the shoulder throw to Cooper by the sidelines was a thing of beauty

I think Navy may be better, but only slightly. Navy beat Rutgers by 2 early last year. It was definitely an evenly matched game with Navy hitting a fg to pull it out late in the 4th.

I'm not even going to debate which QB is better because I see through all that and realize what the point of this thread really is about. Any chance to make Pryor look bad...........Cincy fans are all over it. I mean everyone knows that one weeks worth of stats is the definitive proof we all need.

How was I baiting?! I can't compare the two quarterbacks??? This thread has turned into absolute sh!t because of your deluded notion that I have some personal vendetta against OSU and Pryor when if you look at my posts about Pryor they've been nothing but positive. Jacory Harris is a better passer so far...doesn't take a leap of blind homerism to point that out. I really like Pryor as a player FYI, he is uber talented and should be successful at the next level. This makes about as much sense as me being called a Xavier hater for predicting them to finish 2nd in the A-10...
