Hey - question about the OSU Skull Session!
I'm heading down to the game (my first!) on Saturday and want to attend the Skull Session.
Will I need to get a ticket to get in? Or is admittance on a 'first come, first served' system?
What time should I plan to try to be there? I assume because it is the home opener that there will be a good number of people wanting to get in. Any suggestions?

Skull Session is personal favorite of my wife and me. Starts 90 minutes prior to kickoff (noon kick...starts at 10:30). It is free and heavily attended. Get there by 10 and get a good seat to watch the band's entrance...it's quite a sight.
also...it will be alumni band day....which means St. John arena will be VERRY loud. Go Bucks.

It is quite an event! I look forward to it every time I'm in Columbus. I'll be there for Iowa, New Mexico State, and Minnesota. Pretty excited.

H/G: Thanks!
My thought is to try to walk up to the arena around 9, if it is empty then I might just hang out. If it is packed, then great!
Looking forward to it. I've always wanted to check this out...in fact, I'm almost looking more forward to the SS than the game itself!

Skull Session is awesome. But you definitely need to get there early to get a seat. I've only been a few times because I'm usually stuck on Lane Ave.
H&G are you going to the Navy game this Saturday? My daughter is going to a wedding so I'm going to use her ticket. I'm curious to see what they are doing in the HineyGate area this year.

I had tickets, actually, but had to sell them because of my current situation. :dang:
Give me a full report on that area when you get back. I'm curious about what is going to happen to the other parties that took place around the Hineygate.
Go Bucks!

Check out this video....when you're in your seat at the arena you will see the Drum Major and you will hear the drums coming from outside the arena...unless you camp out on the steps at like 7 in the morning, you're not going to see this...You'll hear it, though!
Enjoy.

I think Skull Session is one of those things that every OSU fan should try once. That being said, I only go once a year usually. It's kind of lost it's luster for me so I only go if I'm going with a "rookie" to the game. I've never had a problem getting a seat except when it's pouring down rain outside, then it's impossible.

03 Washington, 06 Michigan and 08 PSU werre three games that I was lucky to get into Skull Session before they had to close the doors because St. J's had reached capacity.
