Varsity Softball

Looking forward to another great year for the 2008 Field Falcons Softball team. Last year they were PTC Metro League Champs, Division II District Champs and had a final record of 23-3.

This team would absoultely love it if more fans came out to watch them play. They are loaded with talent and ready to play!! Team includes All Conference winners from last season:

Arielle Kenyon - Centerfield - Sophomore
Lauren Feciuch - Pitcher - Sophomore
Tabby Murray - Pitcher - Sophomore
Crystal Pfleger - Catcher - Junior
Traci Vandegrift - 1st base - Junior

Team is rounded out with: Charlotte Chaser - Sr(Pitcher), Sabrina Wilson - Sr(Outfield), Jenna Titko - Sr(2nd Base), Kassie Barnes - Jr, Marchanna Allen - So, Morgan Moore - So, Sammi Brown - So, Emily Plum - So, and Kelsey Coleman - Fr.

Update on scrimmage games played so far:

Field HS 0 Walsh 2
Field HS 7 North Olmstead 1

Defense is looking amazing. Hitting is coming along and pitching is doing good too.

First "Season" game is 4/2/08 against Green HS at Field. Next game is 4/3/08 against Aurora HS at Aurora.

Field HS Varsity has 13 of the 14 on roster that play some level of travel ball so these girls know what they are doing and are so much fun to watch and cheer for! :thumb: Come on out and support them.

BTW - Field Falcons baseball and softball Nite at the Races Fundraiser will be held on 4/11. Contact the school about tickets if you would like to come and support the teams.

Field played their first varsity softball game on Wednesday this past week against Green HS.

Green 4
Field HS 0

Field managed one hit, a single by Crystal Pfleger in the first inning and that was it for the entire game. The Field pitcher, Tabitha Murray had 10 strikeouts and only allowed 6 hits but they were bunched together and then one solo HR.

Starting jitters I hope. Double header at Stow/Munroe Falls Saturday so we shall see how that goes.
