Why???


For Elder:

Elder is 7-3, Moeller also has 3 losses

Elder beat Moeller head to head

Or was it Elder DESTROYED Moeller head to head

In the Herbie, Moeller LOST to a 3-2-1 Cali team
In the Herbie, Elder BEAT a nationally ranked team with a 109 game win streak

For Moeller:

I guess that system that Ohio uses has Elder one seed better than Elder

To me it is hard to argue Moeller should be rated higher than Elder

Moe beat LaSalle and St. Edward, both of whom beat Elder.

Moe also showed that they are capable of at least scoring a few points on St. X, whereas Elder was shut out (and if you can't score, you can't win).

Not so crazy.

To Me, the criteria would be

1) overall record
2) head to head mathcups
3) prominent other games


ELder has a better record (barely)

Elder beat Moeller by 16 and apparently led by a lot more

Elder's win over Independence easily outranks any other game Moeller had

Elder lost by 3 AT St Eds, Moeller won by 3 at Moeller vs St eds (almost a wash)

not enough for me to override the first three factors

Moeller is ranked higher in the city poll
Moeller has more harbin points

I guess Moeller had a better season?

Polls don't matter anyways, it's all about getting to the playoffs and finishing strong.

I guess I could question the same poll which has St Ig #5 with 2 losses and Mentor unranked with 2 losses

Mentor beat St Ig head to head by 21 points
