It was a very good game last night. Well pitched and balanced. N'Mont is a very good team. Grilliot is a solid player and frigg'n FAST as greased lightening! Beemer made an outstanding diving play early in the game to stop a base hit to the right side. Kudos to N'Mont.

In spite of all that, LHS should have won (or at least tied) that game in the 7th. Two costly errors brought in two unearned runs for N'Mont. Plus LHS left 11 runners on base, 5 in scoring position. Compared to N'Mont's 7, and 4.

Had LHS replaced the runner on 2nd with a faster pinch runner, or if they had been running on the pitch instead of on contact, that game would have been tied in the top of the 7th after Turpin's base hit to RF. Then they would have had runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out with Poff at the plate (who hit a double earlier in the game) with the momentum and a chance to take the lead. With Isaacs closing out the game, chances are, LHS would have won that game had they not made those mistakes. Oh well, coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Props to Matt Allen who pitched a good game for Lebanon. 5 innings, 6 hits, 4 runs (only 2 were earned), and 3 K's, 2 BB, and 1 hit batter.
