I just heard a coach reported his son to have a 740 batting average this season, now in 6 games that could be verfied - the player was 12/25, this means he would have had to been 38/43 in his other at bats against other teams. This player got a p.o.y award based upon his father/ coach's "stats" reported. Tell me who wins in this situation? Not the players/ coaches who report legit stats that is for sure, what does he think he is gaining by this practice. This player also had, in those 6 games - 9 errors verified but yet had a fielding percentage around 980 reported, wow.

Whoever has the pencil and scorebook last wins. You can't hit .740 off a tee or soft toss.

Doesn't always have to be the coach's kid. I know of 2 players who's parents hang with the coach, and there stats are all off. Errors don't get recorded at home games and averages are manipulated as much as possible to make these 2 players look like stars. College scouts will see the truth when and if they scout these players.
