In an exciting game last night, the FF Indians beat Lakota West in the GMC Championship game, 5-4. Zack McKinney pitched 6 solid innings for the Indians, with Freshman Curtis Olvey getting the save. Offense was provided, in part, by key hits from Will Drake, Andrew Guenther, Zack McKinney, Curtis Olvey and Chris Huston. In the bottom of the 7th, with runners at 1st and 3rd, a heads up play by catcher Connor Durbin and third baseman Dylan Harrison catches Lakota's runner in a suicide squeeze, then catches the other runner trying to advance and tags him out in a run down. What an exciting finish to the game on a perfect baseball night. What a great season for Coaches Reed, Ewen and Reed and all the players!!

The Reeds are both two very nice young men who know the game and are liked and respected. Congratulations to the Coaches and Players on JV this season...Great Job.

Looks as if FF could have used some of the JV players to make the routine plays tonight and they instead of Ham would be moving on. Sad to see so many errors at this level and of course they cost em the game, period.

I also think that Ewen is a nice young man who knows the game and is liked and respected.

I also hear that the Fairfield freshman team won their GMC tournament. There appears to be hope for the future...

I agree, but I have only been able to see one game this year. He appears to be quiet but in tune with the game.

Heard the same thing, but also heard that was the case last year as well. Except that freshman toruney was rained out after one game. Heard FF won the regular portion but was in semi's when rained out and was headed for showdown with Mason.

Not sure what the missing piece of the puzzle is there, but something is amiss!
