Are the rumors true? Did the powers that be at Massillon fire coach Guschoff? If so why? Someone please post some info, there is alot of misinformation going around Stark County about this!

I hope so. This guy is a fraud who uses people, backstabs, and steals credit for a players success...then he moves to the next town to do it again.
I hope this guy is gone, Massillon can do better than him. The only place he deserves to be is rotting in sportzone in Alliance behind the mall...giving softball lessons

On Massillon Proud site they are saying they took his keys and escourted him off school property, still no word on what infraction's the Coach allegedly committed.

Nothing would suprise me with this clown.
If I would have had to read the word "stint" one more time in that article I think I would have went crazy lol

My son took both hitting and pitching lessons from him for a few years, and we thought he was upbeat and positive.
My son also played for Guscoff and we had no problems with him, he treated us very well!

Same here. His fate is to be decided today. { according to the independent --

MASSILLON, OH — The Massillon Tigers will finish their baseball season with a different coach after Ted Guscoff resigned his position effective immediately Friday afternoon.

Thanks Butler but we still do not know what foul was committed, it is hard for me to believe that he just stepped down for personal reasons that seems to be the pad answer every time a teacher or coach is fired. As tax payers paying there salaries I believe we have a right to know, hopefully we will get the whole story in the paper. I thought Guschoff would fight harder to keep his program, I know he spent alot of money getting "The Duck" Looking good and starting the travel teams in Massillon. Sounds like the School had a pretty soild case for him to just resign and give up.

I read in the paper today that some of his players turned out to support him so he couldn't have done anything that horrible.

Sounds to me he was given the opportunity to resign or be fired.
Slightly updated story from the one posted above:

Bushman20 what's up with you and Ted? You sound bitter! Did he tell you that you're not the next A-rod? I've got nothing but great things to say about Ted as an off season instructor.

I talked to a few people in the loop today and it sounds like a set-up was in the making . Tape recorders in the Dugout, boosters taking photos and others who were laying in the weeds waiting to strike. If these rumors are true it will be hard to hire a Coach, who wants to take a job where you always have to be looking over your shoulder.

Ted helped me out growing up as a ball player and he deserves some credit. The man knows baseball and he doesnt make his players be a "robot" of a baseball player, but helps them succeed at their strengths. He wanted the Massillon gig, got it and now it doesnt look like they showed much love back.....Id love to hear the reason why at least.

Sounds like some kid may have got disgruntled and ran to Mommy or Daddy.
Taking pictures? Tape recorders? If true, this guy is better off leaving this mess.

So a couple of questions. Will the old coach find a new home? What is the coaching staff like that is currently in charge? Does the administration have anyone in mind for next year?

I hope this is not true. If it is, it is sick.

wow.
Can't wait to hear what happened there. I imagine we won't know for a few weeks, at least.
I think that it is clear that school administrators in general are too quick to bring out the axe. The coaches give an awful lot of their time to these programs, and not for the money - for the kids and the game. Administrators should take the time to sit them down and tell them what they want to see changed, improved, etc. Give them the opportunity to respond before giving them the boot. Sometimes you have to let someone go, but they would do their schools and programs more justice by going the high road. They will also get better results for their programs and their kids in the long run.
Just an opinion. I have no dog in the fight.

From the other thread about the same topic it sounded like he was yelling at his team in the outfield, and let a couple "f-bombs" (i think thats like a jagger-bomb) fly, and an administrator overheard. I guess it is only the football coaches at Massillon that can use that type of language.
