Interesting that CVCA was not listed in the first poll, then went 0-4 last week (0-2 going into Saturday, with record of 6-5) with 2 run-rulings, and is now ranked #22 in DIII with a 6-7 record.

On the other hand, Triway was ranked #20 in the first poll, went 4-0 last week (2-0 going into Saturday, with record of 10-4) with 2 run-rulings, and now is not ranked with a 12-4 record. (3 of their 4 losses are to Top-10 ranked teams in their respective divisions, with 2 of those losses and another being by 1 run)

These two teams are in the same league and same division, and have not played each other yet. Don't get me wrong. CVCA is a very good team, and I think their record is deceiving. This is just a convenient example of how "inaccurate" the polls can be. Polls are never going to be perfect, but this poll obviously has a lot of work to do.

Oakwood High School (Dayton Area) should be ranked higher in the Division II standings just released. They have a record of 12-2 and led by a strong pitching staff that includes Senior Tyler Philo with a 5-0 record and an ERA of 0.8. The team is playing very strong and even there reserve team is undefeated. Should be fun to watch for many years.:)
