Well the Trojans took one on the chin today and I think the starting pitcher has to shoulder this one. He clearly didn't have the stuff working tonight. The three run shot was the straw that broke the camels back. Any other thoughts? 11's?, Bleacher Creature?, Trojan4Life?, Birdseye?

Yes Whit didnt have it today.....but our defense really was sad today again not helping out the pitcher..... I mean easy popup to catcher, groundballs to ss,3b, p and a fly ball that should of been caught in lf center.....wondering when the coach is going to apply the same rules to all players....certain players make a misclue and are pulled from the game right now...but others keep doing it over and over and well the rules dont apply to them... way to go coach!!! let see what 11 thinks of the game.....no hartville lunch for me:confused: want to say thanks to Coach E on putting a certain player down time after time he finally got what he wanted.

Whit just didn't have it tonight. Those things happen. A few walks, a few hits, then things come apart. He'll come back next week and be just fine. He has a good attitude and will climb right back in the saddle.

Regarding the Trojans' offense. 13 LOB, that was the story of the game. A few mental errors, and there you have it.

I think the Trojans outhit the Blue Devils, but Lisbon took advantage and the Trojans didn't.

Well pitching and defense wins games and we came up short on both ends of the deal there.....yes 13 lob isn't good either i'm sure Coach E has a plan maybe replace everyone whom drops the ball or throws it away no matter if they our a 4yr letterman or a freshman playing his first game.....but if he did that they have to have JV ready to go. Well good luck to the Trojans in the Dh tomorrow can't wait to hear the results..

I agree that the Trojans did a pretty good job at the plate putting the the ball in play. The wind really played havoc with the high pops, especially to the deep outfield. We just struggled to get the big hit with men on base, something that has happened most of the year. I'm sure the 3rd base running error will NEVER happen again, even though he was safe getting back. Those umpires.......Lets just say that I hope we never see them again. Bottom line- We had chances to win the game but just didn't get it done and that includes the whole TEAM.

The wind WAS nasty. Both teams were struggling to play the ball. It played havoc with balls that were way up.

The base running error is correctable. I'm sure there was a discussion about it.

This was a TEAM loss. As it was mentioned, it's about the TEAM.

I'm not sure that these kids are really meshing together as a team. For the most part, they look like they are just going through the motions. I would like to see more talk, more emotion, more congrtats, patting each other on the back, and lifting each other up when an error or mistake is made. Let the coaches do the criticizing and correcting the miscues. We just need to play ball like we know how and have fun!

Last night was a "just going through the motions" game.

This was very obvious to me. Let's hope we play with some emotion and enthusiasm today at LCC. I want to see some heart. They should be able to say " I left it all out on the field". If we do that then we should be O.K..

The Trojans lost to undefeated and #2 Lake Center, 8-3 and 4-0.

The Trojans played very well in both games and have nothing to be embarrassed about. The kids showed up to play and had great attitudes.

Both teams had 5 hits in the first game, but walks hurt the Trojans.

The Trojans only had 3 hits in the second game, but Trevor Eaton pitched very well.

The Trojans host Jackson-Milton on Monday before travelling there on Tuesday. The Trojans then head to Salineville for a make-up game on Wednesday.

No Smallball sightings. I'm assuming trips to Lake Milton and Salineville are on the agenda for the upcoming week.

Had to take advantage of this nice weather to get caught up on some work. Lake Milton and Salineville are definitely in the plans upcoming. Sounds like the Trojans showed up today and the scores are proof in the puddin. Well done by all. Anyone grilling out tomorrow? :D

Only if the grills are near a golf course. I'm going out for some walks in the woods. :dang:

The Trojans appeared to be relaxed and having fun against LCC. I think they just felt they had nothing to lose. They played well and have no reason to hang their heads. I only caught the 2nd game though, the confusion of the game times messed up my day! We should play well against our upcoming opponents, which I think are struggling right now. Well it's time to get to the yard work--Small ball can come help if he wants, I know he LOVES that kind of stuff.
