Alter defeated Martinsburg with a final score of 69-55. Unofficially, Ryan Siggins had 29 points. Zukowitz was out due to illness. Replacing him was Michael Adkins, who did an outstanding job in his first varsity start. Martinsburg came into the game, I believe, with a record of 9-2 or something to that effect. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Ripley lost??? I don't know whether I want to believe it or not.

Doesn't bother me, I was glad to see the Ohio team win.

I believe they are from Henderson, Nevada, Just south of Vegas.

Congrats to Northland...Ohio is 4-1 in this event so far.
Hopefully Trotwood can upset Montrose Christian.
I was really disappointed with this game. San diego fired their coach yesterday for recruiting violations, the team only brought 7 players and arrived in Dayton less than two hours before the game. That's not to take anything away from Northland, who clearly was the better team, but it certainly took away from what was supposed to be the marquee matchup of the event.

I think Findlay Prep matches up better with Northland than San Diego.
This is Findlay Preps second year here but they wont schedule them any good competition.
Findlay is in Henderson Nevada which is basicly Las Vegas now that the city has grown so much.

As much as I hate to defend Centerville, they did keep it close with Findlay Prep last year losing 44 - 35.
Sullinger finished with 23 and 9 rebounds, Tyler had 22 and 11 rebounds.

That's a very good effort against a good ballclub like Montrose Christian. Strangely, their schedule on WashingtonPost.com doesn't show this game.

Trotwood had 2 chances to tie the game with three's but missed.....
Martinsbug WVA was 7-1 and ranked #2 in WVA in AAA (big school)
San Diego info.......prior to this game, the head coach of San Diego was fired and 3 players were suspended or kicked off the team. No details why, but Terrance Boyd was not their, he is a top 100 player.

Actually, it seems that Boyd hasn't been able to play at all yet this year at San Diego High.
The San Diego Unified School District is looking into possible rules violations involving three high-profile transfers who enrolled at San Diego High in September. Senior Terrence Boyd, junior LaBradford Franklin and junior Zechariah Smith were ruled ineligible before the season by the California Interscholastic Federation's San Diego Section. Results of the district investigation are expected next week.

Not to take anything from Centerville, but Findlay has reloaded and they are a better team this year than they were last year.
Huge for Trotwood only to lose to Montrose Christian by 3 points thought. :clap: They are perennially one of the top programs in the nation, a basketball factory. They are sending 2 kids to Villanova, making up a part of the nations top recruiting class.

Findlay Prep scored only 44 against Centerville, their next lowest point total of the season was 64 against Stoneridge Prep. Villanova has the #3 class behind North Carolina and Texas. Still impressive though, there is only 1 other player in their 2009 class besides the 2 from Montrose.

I was really disappointed with this game...
The firing of a coach and loss of players had to make a big difference - I'm with you though this was certainly a bit of a letdown - although Tyler and Sullinger lived up to their advanced billing, IMO.
Fortunately, Trotwood/Montrose Christian game made up for it - MC was the more athletically gifted team, but Trotwood out-hustled them the whole night which made for a very exciting game.
I'm looking forward to seeing Moe and Findlay Prep today - hopefully Garfield Heights can give Findlay Prep a little bit more of a game than Bedford did yesterday. It will be interesting to see how Bedford does against Moe after getting crushed by 71 yesterday...

From what you have seen so far in this tourney,do you think Cleveland Heights can compete with San Diego high? Tell the stat man to put on the stat sheet Cleveland Heights Tigers not Cleveland Heights Clev.Garfield Heights(Bulldogs) should give Findley Prep a better game then Bedford. Keep an eye on point Guard Carl "Tay Tay" Jones For Garfield Heights.
I think Tyler will give them a lot of trouble. They could definitely win the game though.
