Seth Martin could help with Edgewood. Then of course there are the Norwood guys!!

I know the guys from Norwood have been on here talking a little trash, but dont take shots at them. No need for you to make the sarcastic comment about the "norwood guys".

But imo I think Brinkmeyer from Norwood, Weiser from Talawanda, Miller and Hensley from Ross are some of the first teamers.

I think you have under-estimated the importance of Zipko's decision to sign at Campbell University .... and how this trancends the normal level of best player in the FAVC Scarlet .... and injects him into the realms of "Super-dudeness" ....

This is one of the most sought out programs in the nation, and the staff at Campbell are so selective and secretive in their recruiting process that normally ... the information doesn't even get out that a kid is being considered for the opportunity ... In my research, I have discovered that Ken Griffey Jr., was at one time considering passing up the chance for pro-ball ... if he would have been offered a full ride at Campbell ... but the turning point was that the staff at the time didn't consider the GCL as a legit baseball conference.

To sum it up .. any further discussion considering someone other that Noah Zipko as the alpha and omega of the FAVC Scarlet would be a fruitless excersize in futility.

Just IMO though ! LOL and Merry Christmas !

If you haven't seen Noah play I suggest you make it out to a Talawanda game, he is the real deal.

Agree completely. Even though my loyalty lies with Edgewood, Zipko is a big-time talent who works hard and plays the game the right way. I wish him all the very best at Campbell.

Those stats aren't impressive at all, considering Talawacky plays some bad d-3 schools 2 extra base hits in over 110 at bats, dude is not D-1 caliber by those stats, who did he play summer ball for, the overinflated hype machine Flames

I believe he plays for the Midland Indians. Also heard he throws the ball 92 from shortstop to first. When I watched em he was good, he has all the tools to be great. It's not all about stats also.

No doubt he has a cannon for an arm, but he's not got the wheels to play short at the D-1 level.

92 from short, yea right I gotta use that speedgun
if he is blazing 92, then he outta be a pitcher cause he is faster than anyone else around here

He is a pitcher. And 92 is believable for a good pitcher. I mean across the infield you step into your throw and stuff not like pitching.

i've played with zip, he does have an absolute hose. but i think the best hands at short are bryan beaver's.

No sir, Zipko plays on Midland.
If you just watch him take groundballs, you'll see he is the real deal. He's got the hands and the arm, and he's a nice guy.

Here's what Campbell coach Greg Goff said about him:
“Noah is one of the top rated infielders in the Midwest, and is a great athlete that will have an immediate impact as a freshman. He is the type of player that everyone enjoys being around with his great passion for the game, and his tremendous work ethic. Noah believes in what we are doing here at Campbell and has committed to getting us where we want this program to go.”

All true, but he was a catcher for the Jay Basil Flames. Saw him play against my son's team as a catcher and he had the same intensity. Knew he was aplayer at that time. He had no chance to play SS on the Flames as the spot was taken.

Well from what I read on ohsaa website the season does not start till feb 23rd which is when pitchers and catchers report. Until then all is optional. So if a kid does not show up they are not getting better but at the same time I dont think you need to be on here talking about your team and who shows and who does not. IMO you should keep all personal things regarding a team inside the dugout.

I think the players should be the ones getting the guys to come. I mean its not allowed to be manditory so the coach cant say you have to come. But the players can get fired up and get the guys in there for sure.

D1 fo sho how many of those guys of the 5 that always come are seniors.

i just hope ALL coaches are being compensated (somehow) for their efforts. winter conditioning, plus tryouts, the regular season and a tourney run can make for a long season in baseball.

HONESTLY?

1..sludder is a senior...

you have no idea..we try to get guys in there but there lazy...self centered.
they think we are going to be so good..but to tell you the truth we wont be ready..i bet the wanda ross and edgewood guys are all showing up...ya know

Dude... Why do you talk about your team like that? That is ridiculous. And if you aren't one of those two, you don't need to say anything because come March you won't be on the field. What a dumb thing to say about your team. You better hope to god that the seniors don't find out who you are.
