How is the conference stacking up this year? Any predictions on which team will come out on top? Edgewood is the defending champ but was hit pretty hard with graduation. The players coming back for them should still compete for the title. Talawanda has a nice group of talented players (Zipko/Weiser) and Ross is always going to be in the mix....should make for an interesting season.

Edge has got holland and ewen in the front end fo the rotation should keep them in games. Offense led by leichmann and martin and elder could put some runs up. Only thing lacking again is depth on the mound after the top i think it wil prob be weak so they gotta find a closer for sure.

Talawanda with zipko and weiser will be tough.

Ross always seems to have very good talent but in the past couple years have kinda not played to their potential could bust out this year though.

i think once agin its gonna be ewood ross and talawanda in a tight battle.

as i recall you came to our place (norwood) looking to win league,,put your ace on the mound,,and the best lineup you could put together and you still couldnt handle "The WOOD" ha that is the last thing someone from wanda should ask?? just ask anyone of the varsity players??? norwood sent talawanda home crying with there tails between there legs.....

Norwood lost clarka nd tyree their front two starters so i dont see where they are even going to compete when they went 4-6 last in league with clark who was basically their offense and pitching staff?

Ok, so we did lose two very good pitchers in the front of our rotation. So what, we have three very capable guys that can put up better numbers than tyree. We have great pitching and if you think we are going to suck bc adam is gone you are sadly mistaken, i honestly think we will be better.

I started for edgewood last year as a senior and know what ewood has coming back half of the jv wont even play varsity this year so that whole jv thing means squat and edgewood has some good starters but i know talawanda has a lot of talent this year to and ross wil be decent so i see a three way race for the title for yet another year. Norwood had some good seniors last year but i didnt see anyone else on their team good but clark and tyree.

Norwood has a lot of talent. I think they will play together as a team better without Clark. He was a good player but he was the team. To be good they have to play together like a normal team. Watch them surprise some people this year.

For all of these talawanda people, we (Norwood) beat you guys and cost you the shot at the title last year. And for edgewood, all you guys have is Elder, he is your team. Ross, they lost their three best players hands down in Parks, Bischoff, and Gaston, so they aren't going to be nearly as strong with just Hensley, Casteel, and Cole. This year it will end up coming down to Norwood and Talawanda, watch and see.

P.S.: Why is everyone bringing up Tyree, he did absolutely nothing for the team. You have a point with us losing Clark, but Tyree? come on now he didn't help the team.

All the teams in this division have an equal chance. Let's face it. You can't win a title going anything less than 8-2. Edgewood, Talawanda, and Ross typically battle in this division. Beyond that, it is too unpredictable. Norwood had some decent players beyond Clarke. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't play sound fundamental baseball it means absolutely squat!

I believe Northwest had a very good catcher which is what I would build a team around. But the other teams have good players that have yet to surface as well. Just because a team has names that are known does not lock up a title for baseball in DECEMBER.
