Glen Este has very good pitching. Anderson is solid in every part of the game. It really is a toss up between those two.

Glen Este wins it and Marksberry gets POY. He's a stud on the hill.

i agree with you totally but Moyers will be the one to make a big impact. The other two have a lot of work to do and have only maybe two games each on varsity. Hale may get some time on the mound if he gets better and Bush may get some time in the of.

I think that Hale will be either number two or three in the norwood rotation, and Bush will prolly win the right field spot for varsity. But i agree with baseballgod21 i think those three can do a lot of damage this year for norwood.

I think that Zac McFarland will be player of the year. The kid is a stud and can rake

POY will come down to a handful of players.
Glen Este - Marksberry, Fuller. Marksberry is probably the best LHP in the city but it's sometimes tough for a pitcher only to win POY unless he just has a phenomenal season though someone said on here that he may be playing when he doesn't pitch. Fuller is a big strong kid that hits for power and should have plaenty of RBI opportunities with good hitters and speed hitting in front of him. After tendonitis last spring he pitched all summer and fall without any problems. Marksberry and Fuller will be one of the best 1-2 onthe hill in the city.
Anderson - Rexroat, Kenney, Rod. Rexroat has very good stuff onthe mound but health always seems to be a problem for him and again it is not easy for a pitcher only to win POY. Kenney has a very live arm and if he throws strikes can be very tough to hit. He is a good defensive outfielder with a cannon from right field. Has good power at the plate..a strong kid who will hit in the middle of the order with lots of RBI opportunities. Rod is a very good defensive CF and will be the spark plug of the offense. He's a 4 year varsity player and has had a lot of success at the varsity level.
Milford - McFarland, Nesteroff, Gastrich. McFarland can flat out hit and defensively can play just about anywhere on the field. He will have plenty of RBI opportunities hitting in the middle of the lineup. He can also pitch as evidenced by his 6 shutout innings against Moeller last year. Nesteroff was used mainly as a closer last year but will get plenty of starts on the mound this year. He's a very good CF and hits for average and power. He can absolutely fly on the base paths. Gastrich if he stays healthy is one of the best catchers in the city. An absolute gun from behind the plate with a good stick to go with it. Like McFarland, should have plenty of RBI opps.
Harrison - Kuykendoll. Will be one of the top pitchers in the league and had a good year at the plate last season for Harrison. Had no defense behind him when he ptched last year and I honestly don't see it getting much better for him when he pitches this year. If he played on one of the 3 teams above, would have much beter shot at POY.
Loveland - Engel. The kid can rake at the plate. He's only a junior and could be a shoe in for POY as a senior. He is one of the top hitters in the lague and very good defensively at short. POY usually goes to a player from a team that finishes top 2 in the league. I don't see Loveland doing that, but I didn't see them tying for 1st last year and Reed always seems to get the most out of the talent there so no way you can count them out.

Marksberry is a no-brainer as a pitcher.
But if you mention Glen Este POY candidates you have to include Nate Bromagen. Great SS and probably the leading returning offensive player (based on avg., power, and steals), and will pitch a lot more this spring. Don't know how he got missed as Glen Este representative for FAVC team last year. Snoke and Marksberry for pitching and Bromagen for fielding/offense were the obvioius top players on GE.
For GE POY candidates, throw Greg Jones in there if healthy. 4 year starter and top returning hitter (OPS) of the full-time starters.

I am going to agree with you on this....but I have been told by "Kid" that I am not allowed to talk about anyone....but...I will talk about Brom...this kid has the softest hands and can field a ball hit anywhere and doesnt get the props that he should...would love to see him get POY, but he has to keep his head in the game and keep hitting like he was at the end of summer ball...and get healthy too.
Though I hope that all the boys find a way to mesh into a team that I know that they can be. Someone needs to step up and be leader. Or a few of them at that. Lead the way Seniors!!
