I'm ready, too! .. But I can multitask, since it's still football season. Basketball is always special around here, though!

but im just ready for some HOOPS Again!!!

Man.....you're telling me! I've been sober from basketball for too long now (I'm a hoopaholic). Sometimes I feel like breaking down and crying when I find no basketball to watch. I go to local parks just to hear that sweet, sweet sound of leather and nylon.

lets tip off ASAP!!!!

Yes! As Sooner As Possible!

I know what you mean, Eez. That early Thursday morning drive to Columbus is always weird. I'm excited about three days of wall-to-wall hoops... while knowing that by 10:00 on Saturday night, it'll all be over. :dang:

That late-night trip home on Saturday night is always a bummer. :(

I can relate to everything you just said.

It's more of a bummer when you're leaving OSU after a loss. :wallbang: Then you got to sit through the rest of the games (because your game was first at 10:45am) with that sour taste in your mouth.

Hoops is KING guys !

The basketball player is one heck of a dude and it takes more than just a big body to excel and really be good. A hoopster who's got it all together is SOMETHING TO WATCH.

It's nothing for me to travel from Cincinnati to Columbus for a regular season game in the MIDDLE of the week to check out a player. Sometimes if the trip is further away, I'll schedule time off from work a few hours just to make the bash. Because I'm originally from Cleveland .....I'm up there all the time to checking out action too. I hit just about every area of the state.

The only part of the state that I don't get out to regularly is Toledo. I've been doing this for YEARS!
I'm a sad puppy when I look over schedules and can't find a "prime" game on the weekend slate :( :( :help:
On Fridays after work throughout the winter, I'm all jacked up because I can get out to the games

I can't wait for schedules to be released and start scouting who I want to check out.

To this day if I know I've got a good battle at hand, I get sweaty like a kid in a candy store b/4 the game starts.
Just like you guys I too get sad once the final four tournament starts in Columbus.

Football's great and I have a helmet for my avatar, but I'm also a HOOPHOUND.....like the Yappi legend himself :thumb:

 You got it bad too! It's hands and pits, huh? My hands are the worse. :D Then I try and open my gatorade bottle to clear my cotton-mouth, and that's a task with slippery fingers. Then by the time I get it open, I drink it before the first half is over, so I need to wait in that long line for another. Yes, it goes on and on.

It sucks, but you got to love it at the same time! You know the time has come. :crush:

Start at the top of this thread and slowly scroll down. Take note of the beautiful array of smiley icons along the way. Haha!

Football season is great, but basketball has :stirthepot: more non-stop action with a few games each week, so it's so much more fun on the forums.

The last son, the third one, will suit up this year for his senior season. I will be in the best seat in the house for year #27.

In January, Northland plays the following teams: Aiken, Canton Timken and San Diego High School. Should get your sweat flowing like a river. Come and enjoy some great high school action.

Is the Aiken-Columbus Northland game in Columbus or Cincy, Coach Vic?

Coach Vic

Count me in for the Northland Vs Aiken and Northland Vs Canton Timken games.

I've been wanting to check out Timken and see what the hoopla was about last year with their "out of nowhere" run they had.

Northland should be a prime candidate for preseason #1 in D1....it's a nobrainer that I'll be checking them out.......no doubt about it.

IMO the Princeton Versus Middletown game may well be the D1 GAME OF THE YEAR.....easily in SW Ohio at least. There's no way in he** I mess that game.

I was saddened when I heard that Middletown and Princeton only play once this year, I saw all three games last year. I simply CAN NOT WAIT!

The Northland vs Aiken game will be in Columbus at the Schott. It is part of the Play by Play Classic Tournament. The Northland vs Timken game will be in Canton. The Northland vs San Diego High School will be in Dayton. San Diego High School has 6'9" Jeremy Tyler who until 1 month ago was rivals top rated player in the 2010 Class. Jared Sullinger was # 6. Unfortunately, I cannot attend the Princeton vs Middletown game. My team plays on that same evening. I am sure that I will talk to Jordan Sibert about the game that evening. It should be a great one! Ohio High School basketball doesn't have to take a backseat to anyone.

I wonder what the pending outcome will be with the whole Darren Goodson mess of Cinncinnati Aiken. He's got a very cloudy criminal case pending that needs to be cleared up. Aiken would certainly miss him.

Last years point man Cortez Howell is now at Lockland, they'll surely miss him too.
Aiken's got some issues that certainly bear watching....not to mention they just got a new Coach also.

I believe the Darren Goodson case was dropped by the courts. So he should be cleared and okay to play. I hope that he makes it through to be the best person and player that he can be.

The enquirer posted the outcome of the charges against Darren, and they were dropped. Hopefully he won't put himself in that type of situation again. He's an extremely talented young man.

I truely can't wait until the start of the basketball season. Foxsport network even viewed the Cleveland vs Boston game from last years playoffs last weekend.....they really had me going.
