Think Williams will be special. 6'-3" and 225lbs pg that runs like a dear. Have a Randle Holt or Carl Jones team ever beat him? I dont think so. Cleve. Hts. has owned both Bedford & Garfield. Do not know how Ohio schools dropped the ball on this one!

Reggie a Solon Comet, then a Bedford Bearcat, now a Heights Tiger, next year a Ohio Univ. Bobcat. He is definitely more feline than heavenly astroid-like. Best of luck to him.

Anyone who has seen Reggie play extensively, can you tell me what kind of player my alma mater is getting?

Your getting a very physical big man with a lot of potential. He's big, strong, has good footwork, and at times can just dominate opponents with his strength on the block, he has solid post moves too. He may need to lose a little weight because when I seen him he seemed to get fatigued but overall a great pick up and should of a solid career.

Wrong person. you're thinking of his teammate Sir Christian Williams who's 6'3 who's going to play at Rider next season. Reggie is a 6'8 240 pd Monster. and he lost the baby fat so he's looking really good!!!!!

Hopefully he doesn't change his mind on colleges like he has on high schools.

WOW......
Coach Barry Egan has another group of D1 players!!! Egan had some players while at Troy...Carmody, Terwilliger etc.....
Wouldnt be surprised to see Barry and his Tigers prowling the floor up in Columbus.

I thought Coach Groce the former assistant Coach at OSU was the Head Coach now?

He is... Could he be talking about Heights?
Groce is recruiting like a mad man for Ohio. Picked up another commitment yesterday from James Kinney, a Illinois PG/SG...
I kind of get the feeling Groce is building a team to run based on his 4 recruits.. Does Keely fit that? From the description given, he sounds a lot like Leon Williams, and we would gladly take another him down here...

Keely can be a key piece in any system. the only thing is he gets down on himself sometimes and frustrated at times but that can be corrected. But obviously Coach Groce see's the potential that I see in Reggie. A great low post player with a decent outside shot and who can run the floor. Ohio is surely a team that people need to look over there shoulders for.

I saw him on campus when he visited. He had a solid inch on 6'6'' forward Justin Orr, so let's call him 6'7''.

Heights in basketball are a little like 40-yard dash times for football...
Many like to exagerate the numbers.

And just like 40's in football, many exagerate their importance. Ohio's PF Jerome Tillman (Beavercreek) is listed at 6-6 I believe, he is probably 6-4. Yet he consistently beats 6-8 through 6-11 guys. High Flyer and fast.. And solidly built at the same time. Skills too... If this kid can play like Tillman, I'm a happy Bobcat.

Bombale Osby would agree.

Reggie will be a great fit in the new 4 out 1 in system that we have seen at OSU. Reggie is a horse inside who is strong and can rebound with the best of them. Like most kids he still plays to the level of competition sometimes but once he gets to college that will go away.

Given his track record, I'd be worried about him hanging around for more than a year or two. If things aren't breaking his way, I'm sure he'll go bye-bye.

comment was really unecessary in a thread commending him on his commitment. If anyone has a problem with a 17 year old minor then talk to his parents about why he moved so much. I'm quite sure he doesn't have the capitol nor the resources to make such moves. So congragulate.....not hate.

hasbeen -- I agree that Reggie is a very nice young man, and I hope he does well at OU. I do think, however, that his father has burned enough bridges by this point that the comment by catalum is a very common feeling among many local hoops fans. I hope that when Reggie gets to college, Coach Groce will be allowed to instruct him without any interference. If that is the case, Reggie will be a nice player for the Bobcats.
Keely is a beast! Ohio U is getting a nice one. I'll definitely be following his college career. Best of luck to him!

If I remember he was pretty darn good so I say nice job Bobcats!!

I and understand that and I agree with you but the reason why I commented on what CATALUM said was because he was implying that a VERY large 6'7-6'8 17yr old young man had the wherewithal in orchestrating THREE HIGH SCHOOL MOVES. not gonna happen....ya know? if people are gonna point fingers then he has two parents that are his legal guardians. beef would be with them not him. thanks for the comment catfan. GO BOBCATS!!!

The "track record" as I mentioned belongs to the kid but I have no doubt that the adults in his inner circle (whoever they are) bear great responsibility for all of the moving around. How can three schools in four years be good for him? Obviously, no one gives a rat's a $ $ about education. He better hope that he finds a way to make a living based on basketball because the "track record" so far indicates that's all that matters.
I wish it were different. I wish the kid well. But, this kind of behavior should not be ignored. It should be commented on and criticized.
