Wow!! Kent State finally recruits a player from Ohio. When was the last time? Four years ago? Longer?

The Geno Ford influence is now permeating the KSU hoops program. I believe it will prove to be every bit as successful as those that preceded it.

Congratulations to Randall Holt. I believe he'll enjoy his Kent State experience.

Tradition Never Graduates! :welcome:

Still, Kent State rarely recruited Ohio players during years that Gary Waters, Stan Heath and Jim Christian coached the team. That statement is especially true regarding Heath and Christian. They rarely even looked at Ohio players. Waters occasionally recruited locally, though he concentrated on Detroit and the rest of Michigan.

I shouldn't complain. Kent has been highly successful over the years. I don't raise the point to knock the program. But I've always hoped a time would come when the Flashes would tap some of the talent right here in NEO.

Ford is an Ohio guy (Cambridge) and he might make this state the center of his recruiting base.

The best team in the MAC over the past 8 or so years and you concerned that they need to recruit Ohio players? They win and you care they dont have enough Ohio players? I am happy for Holt and Kent but who cares about where they get players from. The job is to win and do it right. They are. PERIOD
