Yes, yes I know that football season isn't even halfway over, but as a former basketball player and and excitable fan, I can't tear myself away from thinking about basketball. So what are everyone's thoughts on the ITCL upper and lower tiers this season? Any impact players we should be aware of? Anyone poised to make an undefeated run? Let's hear about it!
Boy, this is early. It's hard to wrap my head around this yet. I do see Wellsville, WR, Leetonia, and Mcd as the early favorites, though.

United is looking to be real good and fast under new head coach Mike Ward. With 4 state finalists in track and field and real quick underclassmen they we be alot similar to coulumbiana of last year but with a 6-5 post presence. everyone one the roster can move and look for the defensive pressure to be up and offence to keep pushing the ball.
Potential starters
Jason Ramus 5-9 pg Sr
Taylor Phillips 6-0 sf Sr
Zack Taylor 5-11 sg Jr
Zack Lease 5-9 sf Sr
Jeremy Walker 6-5 c Sr

11's, I think even though Sebring lost some starters, their young talent may give them a much needed spark to make some noise in the league.

I hope you are correct.
Sebring does things that give them a chance to, at the very least, win more than they lose. They're always fundamentally sound. The talent isn't like it was 4+ years ago but you can bet they'll play hard and control the things they can.
The Upper Tier will be a race between EP, Columbiana, and Crestview if Leon is able to play.

What in the name of Rick Brook are you rambling about?
This is NOT a good way to pad your post count.
Now... try again... THIS time do a little research before you open your pie hole. :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang:

Whenever you return a quick starting point guard, you'll never be "terrible."
Sebring returns two starters and four lettermen. Jurica and Weekly are the starters, and Irwin and Eaton won letters.
They may also return a couple of players who did not play last year.
Additionally, two sophs will contend for playing time.
The Trojans won't be bottom of the barrel, nor will they finish at the top, BUT, they will have something to say about the race.

seriously man there is no need for this uneducated, thoughtless, ramble. for someone who doesnt have many posts on here u sure lost all credibility rather quickly.
I have to tell ya, there are a lot of good players in this league. I try to catch as many games as I can. They are always fun to watch. Although I could do without all the chant cheers from the student sections.

wres1219jl..Just so you know a 10-12 win season is a terrible year at Sebring if you want to call that terrible so I think Viking does know what he is talking about. If they find the right mixure with Weekly and Jurica thay may win 12-15.

Anybody hear anything about Gysin's football knee injury? I don't know much, but I heard it's serious. I know Kiger at ridge will be ready for basketball season coming off the broken ankle he suffered in mid-august. Anybody hear anything definitive about the high jumper at Crestview and his intentions?

i think Gysin is fine now. he's played football the past two weeks so he will definately be ready for basketball season.

That is good to hear. There's been such a rash of serious injuries in the area lately.
Injuries can kill a teams chances to win the league, and it'd be terrible if Gysin isn't 100%. I remember when Troy Duwe broke his leg in Week 5 or 6 of the fotball season. It probably cost Crestview the league(finished one game behind Sebring and won their last 12 of the regular season) and it cost Duwe the 1000 point club. He finished with 993 and missed 6 or 7 games.
Hopefully for Crestview Jake Leon can play. If he does I think they can contend given what they return.

He's playing football, he should be able to play b-ball.

Sorry, VH... nobody ever bothered to submit a roster for McDonald from the '07-'08 season. :dang:
If they had, I would have posted an "updated" version (with seniors deleted, grade levels adjusted, and returning starters indicated).
They didn't... so I can't. :wallbang: :wallbang:

Streb, Johnson, Harvey and Banyon all gone. That's three starters and the sixth man.
Ronghi and Thomas return in the back court.
Tom Orr has returned to McDonald and should start at center.
Also got a sophomore back(he lives in McDonald but went to JFK his freshman year) who started some games for JFK as a freshman.
He and others from a terrific JV team will compete for the other spots.
Should be another solid year at McDonald with Rasile at the helm.

Weekly will do the majority of the scoring. The Trojans will look for balance from Jurica, Irwin, Faudree, Good, Van Kirk, and Eaton.

No, Tayala. But I do believe Timko was part of the reason he went to JFK in the first place.
