Trey DePreist from Springfirld High. I can't remember if North had any freshman getting any PT or not.
Myspace1214 and SFIND,
I didn't see North last year (except the last North South game). Were there any freshman getting PT? I thought there was but I can't recall. I must have been hanging out with Yellow Jacket that night before the game! LOL!

I see in my crystal ball, future re-loading, and little need for rebuilding for the Irish. They've really got the program steam rolling from top to bottom.
Where's Sampson from, Stars?

Geez... if that's accurate, the Comets have certainly lost some VERY talented "bigs" the last few years, R2. :dang:
Thanks for the update!!

Jakarr Sampson is the real deal. If I had to compare him to any NBA player, I'd say Tracy McGrady. That kid got a great length with athleticism that is a pure shooter. What a great addition to the Fighting Irish!

here are some kids that have gone unnoticed but have some serious talent and potential
Jalen Billups, 6'5" small/power forward (Cincinnati Shroder, Club Ohio)
freakishly athletic, strong, good shot blocker, great upside and excellent defender both inside and out
Isaiah McCullar, 6'8" center (Cincinnati Shroder, Club Ohio)
tall and lanky, excellent shot blocker but offensively raw
--both played varsity as freshmen. should start and make some serious noise as sophs
Jared Bryant, 6'8" center (Cincinnati Roger Bacon, Club Ohio)
crafty scorer in the post who can step outside and bury the jumper. should be in the varsity rotation this year
Kevin Jones, 6'4" swingman (Cincinnati Withrow, D-1 Greyhounds)
great set shooter and rebounder, good enough ball handler to create matchup problems, athletic
Adimu Hunter-Woodard, 6'2" swingman (Cincinnati Seven Hills, Club Ohio)
aggressive scorer that can rise up with ease, good shot blocker for the guard position, creates matchup problems with his post up skills
Zack Riddle, 6'0" point guard (Columbus Bishop Waters, unknown AAU)
sick handle with an outstanding pull-up jumper, excellent creator off the dribble who makes teammates better

National Champs were the Memphis Stallions. They defeated All Ohio Red. All Ohio Red was led by JD Weatherspoon who is 15 but actually is entering the 11th grade, Trey Burke who was simply outstanding and Traevon Jackson who is certainly one of the top 3 players in the class of 2011 in the state. Cheatum Norrills of Toledo, Isiah Boddie of Trotwood Madison rounded out the starting 5.

There is a kid at Oak Hills that is just turning Sophmore this year. Chad Streder. If he keeps his head on straight and decides he wants to play he is definitely going to be a college bound player. Handles the ball nice. solid defense. strong strong body. good shout from 15 in. 6'4 maybe a hair taller. aggressive and not intimidated

No, DePriest is it. In fact, Springfield is proabably going to go 10-10 in their inaugural season :wallbang:.
The loss of Freeman is big than some are willing to admit. He would have averaged in-between 15-20 ppg at Springfield this year as their man inside.
Now are tallest player underneath is going to be 6'2 (whether it's Moss or DePriest). That's hoping Burks continues to play at the 3 spot (where he belongs).
Sorry, I just have the South basketball bug, and I expect to compete on the court, and losing on the court bugs me a whole heck of a lot more than in football.
GO SPRINGFIELD!!!!!

During the AAU season the guard from Jackson (schull) showed he could be a good shooter, nice stroke when in rhythm and when he can get his shot office. Should be very effective if he learns to work off Henniger and Egner as teams have to focus on stopping the inside game of Jackson. Makes everybody better if they can learn to work together.

All six players are a little unnoticeable but I truly believe that they will all have a fantastic year which will be noticed. What do they all have in common?

Alex Mcglothin - Walnut Hills 6'5 forward. As a Freshman got off to a great start before reinjuring a shoulder (football injury). Shut it down in February and had surgery. Returned to hoop action very late in the summer and looked great at the U15 AAU Nationals.

Well in the title it says Meadowdale sophmore, but Dayton Meadowdale High School is where he goes to school at. I seen him play with Ohio Valley force this summer and the AAU coach told me his home school was Dayton Meadowdale. Richard Weaver is his name.
