I know there is plenty of disdain for the political aspects of the all-state selection process. Removing that from the equation, who do people think are candidates for POTY in each of the division. I'll admit my knowledge base is restricted to the Akron/Canton area, so I'd like to hear what other people think. I'll throw a few names out there...

D-1 - Alex Loftin, Stow - probably the best pitcher in the state, although numbers at the plate aren't all that exciting.
D-2 - Ross Brunello, Walsh Jesuit - best hitter on the best D-2 team in the state
Paul Pakan, Tallmadge - hit for high average with plenty of power
D-3 - Nick Jones, Woodridge - standout on the mound and at the plate
Grant McCoury, CCC - see Nick Jones

McCoury made Woodridge his ----- when he hit that tape measure bomb. I'll take him in D3, played against real teams during the regular season.

I guess you could say Jones made CCC his ----- when he hit his tape measure bomb, too. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Woodridge's schedule, either. Walsh, Tallmadge, Hoban, Stow, CVCA twice, Aurora twice, Twinsburg, Strongsville, Field...I doubt CCC can top that list.

What are the stats on some of these guys? Big names, yes. But what kind of years did they have? And don't say "big." I know that! ;)
