All the parents & players was in shock over that one, I think because he started out slow for hitting, his batting avg. just miss the cut by the deadline to be turned in for the fed awards, I know toward the Middle & end of the season his batting avg. was closer 380 & his fielding was great. who know's what all they base it on anyway? Believe me we are baffled by that one as well as a few other choices that was made or not made, should I say! Colin Broughton should have been 1st team , Mike Chack started out slow in hitting slump too, but bounce back before Pip did. I thought Rj (SS) from Hoover had a good season as well, and would make the list, guess not! I can't believe that Tyler Campitella & bo lorenzo only got honable mention. Joe Smith started out good with Hitting & fielding, then went into a major slump toward the middle/end, not really sure how he got on the list. He did alot of errors. So who know's? My guess is batting avg. means everything early on in the season!!! But congrats to all of the boys.

I think every player is desirving. I think what he is saying is that because of being in 1st place players get preference on 1st team. We all know its all about how much as_ your coach can kiss too when it comes to selecting.

I agree with you - I actually think kids get noticed much more in summer ball than during the high school season. The kids are also playing better competition in the summer, which the college coaches like to see.

Please stop Yankee! Everyone knows there is NO full rides in college baseball and college's can't talk to incomming seniors untill July 1st. You DIDN'T hear it from anybody, you made that up! You must want to be kicked off Yappi?

The coach's regional team was released in the Rep. Not a hoover Viking to be found! It figures the coach's had to take the time to nominate a player. Again the hoover coach [Hite] has shown how much he cares about his players and how little he cares if they get recognition to maybe get an offer to play somewhere post high school. It would be funny, his height of laziness, if it wasn't so hurtful to the players, parents, and school. What a joke this guy is!
