Bob Madden is STA's new football coach. I haven't heard of any applicants for the new baseball job opening yet...
Why?
Because of the parents I'm sure. The same reason every other coach at STA resigns.

I don't think Tom Seigfreid would leave louisville and the head boys basketball job, but you never know... Jason maybe... Jeff Wallace maybe... Sedmock said he was spending too much time away from his family... STA might be a hard place to coach any sport. good luck to the new guy at STA. they have a nice field and a field turf football field and i heard through the grapevine they have a few good younger players so thing could work out there

LOL are the Knights waiting for Mike Hargrove to come back to NE Ohio for an interview or what?? Are they maybe cutting the program?? This is crazy how long they are taking to get something done.

There are Outside things holding up a hire that could put sta over the hump.
there is a guy who does not want one other guy to get the job. imho they should hire the guy they want, there are plenty of kids that would love to play for him.

If I do recall Jeff has coached for the last 4-6 years he did a travel team of HS age kids , and is now coaching his sons team... I know coaching 8 to 10 year olds is not HS baseball but its takes a grat deal. On your side there are many very very good coach's running around that are not coaching for one reason or another, I know a few come to mind

With the way things have played out I think it would be their best choice to hire a experienced coach so they can hit the ground running.I know they have one applicant that has the support of many kids and families.This would be the suprise pick,and it' not pick # 9. They need the stability and long track record of experience and winning he brings. He won't be using STA as a stepping stone. This is the job he wants!
Shawn Alazas applied for the job and would also be good candidate.

He teaches at West Branch. That would be tough, finishing at WB, then running to STA to practice or play. He would also be a great choice.

That is a tough thing to do. The last coach[ Sed ] had to teach in canton and then rush to practice and games every day. time consuming and a big part of his reason for leaving. Great guy and coach just a tough situation. When you also have field prep it's tough.
I think I know who vikingnot is talking about, This would be their guy if they want the program to grow, he has done a fantastic job of building one program in the area from the ground up. Some guys enjoy doing that and he's one ofthe best.

Well, who ever gets the job it must of been a hard choice because of how long they have been taking.
Another qualified candidate that nobody mentioned would be Shawn Alazas. Iknow he applied for the position and had an interview, but hasn't heard anything.

What about the coach who just left Hoban? (Koenig). STA should recruit him. He got a raw deal at Hoban, but is a very good coach.
