Thanks, keep the updates coming....
The West score is shocking considering they beat them 11-0 and were up handily before rain came in the second game of the DH.

Wow, that's a lot to ask of a kid!
I think Dreisbach lost confidence in Beaver on the mound.

Moeller to state ...
Posted by TomGroeschen at 5/30/2008 4:23 PM EDT
Moeller just completed a 9-6 win over Lakota East in eight innings here in the Division I regional baseball finals at UC.
The Crusaders (25-6) will play in the state semifinals next Thursday (4 p.m.) at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, against Cleveland St. Ignatius.
Moeller was the preseason No. 1 team in the Enquirer Division I coaches' poll, while East was No. 13. East (18-12) was making its first regional appearance, with the Lakota school district having split into East and West in 1997.
This will be Moeller's first trip to state since winning the 2004 championship.
Moeller wins 9-6 in 8
Moeller - vs - St Ignatius
Lakota West -vs- St Edwards.
How about an all Cincinnati final game!!!!!

Great job Moe/West and East.....Sounds like LE lost a heartbreaker!
What an outstanding offensive show between Lakota West and Gahanna.
This game was in jeopardy for LW. A huge 2 out bases loaded hit by Murtland to put LW up 13-11. Gahanna put up a real dogfight.

It definitely was a heartbreaker for East. They were just one out away from beating Moeller in the 7th, but Brent Suter came through with a 2 run single to take the lead.

Watched the LW/Gahanna game, both good teams.
Last 5 innings or so Gahanna had freshman at 2nd, short, and 3rd, with sophomores catching and on the mound. I think they could be heard from again.

Great job, East. Everyone is proud of the way that you all came together and played as a team. No one thought you were getting past the first round (or two), but you put you're hearts out there.......regardless of the outcome, no one can ever take that from you.
