I know there's already a college baseball thread, but I thought this was deserving of its' own thread...
After beating West Virginia 11-6 and USF twice with scores of 11-1 and 13-2 UC has advanced to the Big East Conference Finals in baseball! They have a shot at their first trip to regionals since I believe it was 1974. They'll take on Louisville tomorrow at 8 PM on ESPNU. Louisville advanced by way of victories over Seton Hall (12-3) Villanova (14-3) and Villanova again (13-6)
The regular season series was as follows:
Cincinnati - 11 Louisville - 2
Louisville - 13 Cincinnati - 4
Louisville - 9 Cincinnati - 3
Cincinnati comes in having won 8 straight and 14 of their last 16 with an overall record of 39-19 (22-9) including the tournament games.
Louisville comes in having won 16 of their last 19 with an overall record of 40-19 (19-11) including the tournament games
Let's go Cats, bring the title to the 'Nati!
