I think Lake is a better ball club now since they played Jackson last, but Jackson is tough team! If lake uses micah stair as a pitcher today, they should do okay. It will be an interesting game. Good Luck to both team today! It would be nice if Lake can get the title again this year. But if it ends up with Jackson being the winner, I wish them the best on going foward.

Who are the remaining teams down in the Struthers District? Just curious, since the winner of this one, will play that team next week.

That was an exciting game. The Bears win in the bottom of the seventh on ahit by Josh Stahlnaker. Lake played well. Jackson seemed to lose focus at times. I think the Bears need to play better next week. They just need to get back to their normal defensive excellence.

I agree...even making it to states will be quite an accomplishment for these boys. St Ed's/Euclid and then, most likely, Mentor, just to get to Columbus. Not to mention having to face, most likely, Lakota West in the semis, if they do get there. I wish them the best of luck, but don't hold out a ton of hope.

WOW. Much closer than it should have been. Stalnaker continues to be "the man" at Jackson. He saved the day again. The rest of the team better wake up immediately as their opponents only get better. Stalnaker can not continue to carry all of the load.

It was a very exciting game, teeth clinching! I thought Lake played a much better game, it came down to the last inning for Jackson, and because of a fielding error at centerfield, jackson ended up with the win run. I thought for sure it would go to extra innings & Lake would win it. Lake gave Jackson a good game. I hope Jackson takes State, good luck boys!
