The Yellow Jackets & the Trojans will lock up in a GWOC North battle. I'm willing to bet that we'll be seeing a Yinger v.s. Lamka showdown on the Mound.
Should be an interesting game!

Butler's win over Northmont makes Friday's game a very important one. Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough to get this one in.

It's going to be tough for Sidney. They play Troy Wednesday, then travel to Lima Senior on Thursday, and then of course the Butler game Friday. Not to mention Northmont next Monday.
3 games in 3 days is going to make it really difficult, especially since Butler has momentum & they are the 3rd game.
I really wish the Lima Senior game wasn't this week! :wallbang:
I just have that feeling, the way Sidney has been playing I don't see them winning both Troy & Butler. There is a chance but the Jackets need to start hitting like I know they can.

Well the way the forecast looks now, Friday looks like a washout. A lot of time yet between now and then, so we'll have to see how it plays out.

Trojans are tough this year, this will be a great game. The GWOC North is going to be a battle this year...noway a team goes undefeated in division play IMHO.

Sidney is 8-7, but probably should be 10-5 as well. Alot of 1-run games that could of went either way.

BTW, I just learned that 3B/P Joe Engle will be attending Owens Community College on a scholly.

Lack of Coaching & lack of timely hits cost the Yellow Jackets big time as Troy wins easily 11-2.
This was clearly not Brad Yingers day on the mound and the Coach should of pulled him after giving up 2 HR's in the 1st Inning. Troy had Yinger well scouted as they should have since half of the Troy players faced Brad in Legion Ball last Summer. Joe Engle should have been the starter today.
I'm willing to bet Sidney stranded 15 runners on base, and you will not win if you can't hit with runners in scoring position.

Sidney goes down and Butler has to brawl their way through 10 innings against Piqua. (Aviators had 6 errors) Both teams will be looking to bounce back from lackluster Wednesday performances.

I was surprised that Piqua played Butler so close. Sidney beat them 3-1 but Piqua never really threatened to take the lead.
Should be a dandy of a game and I know for a fact Joe Engle will be on the mound for the Jackets.
