Always tough game, especially since this will be the last fight for a league title between the two. Butler looked rough at the start but has been on fire of late. Northmont has been playing great baseball and recently voted 8th in the state coaches poll (OHSBCA.org). Should be a great game!

Both teams should be sky high coming into the game. Emotions are always up when Northmont and Bulter clash.

This should be a good game, and I fully expect the same with next week's rematch at Fifth Third Field. Northmont and Butler are #1 and #2 respectively in the GWOC, with most runs scored. How much large a role that plays today will be interesting. Both teams have faced their share of talented foes, and despite the difference in records, I think these two teams are pretty evenly matched. The key for Butler is going to be their ability to minimize errors. Should be a big crowd on what will be a great day for baseball.

Question to Northmont fans. I will be there taking pics for the website, is "The Yard" photographer friendly? What I mean by that is, are there areas where I will be able to take photos from behind the fence and not be blockijg anyones view?

Yeah, they do OK there. Go to www.loveitphotos.com and you will get an idea of the shots you can get from outside the fence and from dugouts. She takes a lot of photos from outside the fence. Some of them are from the pressbox/dugouts. I can't speak for Coach Harlow, but I can't imagine anyone would have a problem with you getting the same kinds of shots. At least I hope they wouldn't have a problem.

This game & Sidney v.s. Troy are THE most important games when you look at Conference play.

The winners of these games will have alot of momentum, especially since Sidney & Butler meet this Friday.

Butler wins 10-8. Aviators lead 10-3 going into the bottom of the 7th. Bolts pulled within 6 and then hit a grand slam making it a 10-8 game with 1 out. Zach Dumler came in to close the game, and struck out the final two batters. Junior Tony Cono pitched 6 1/3 innings, picking up his 3rd win of the season.

I expect nothing short of another great game between these two. Last night was another "Instant Classic" in the series.

I looked at your pitcures. You got some great shots.

Did you hear that the JV game went 10 innings and didn't end until after 9PM? Butler won 12-11. :wallbang:

Thanks for the kind words. That's the first I have heard of the JV game...wow, sounds like that was a ---- of a game too. Like I said before, I really hope this series continues to be played every year, despite the fact that Northmont is leaving thre GWOC North. The rivalries with Northmont and Wayne in baseball have always been my favorite.

A part of me is glad the T-Bolts are off to the Central. It kinda opens things up in the North division mainly in Football.

I'm sure the Bolts are wanting some serious payback against Sidney from last year starting next Monday.
